Alec and his small family left the hotel and had returned to their home, everything was just as it was when they had left it nothing disturbed. The next few days were uneventful nothing strange and no word from the gatherers. Alec was beginning to relax a little but Claire was still a little anxious she could feel things were not going too well but refused to tell Alec of her feelings.
It was a Saturday morning and the family were taking it easy no rush to do anything as there was nothing planned for that day but it was a beautiful day clear blue skies and warm. Once everyone was up and breakfast cleared away they were all discussing what they should do for the rest of the day. It was then things changed dramatically.
Day suddenly became night it was absolute pitch black even the street lighting that had come on automatically could not penatrate the darkness and there was silence you could hear a pin drop. Nothing was moving everything was stationary the world looked as though it had come to a stop. Claire had tears streaming down her cheeks and was visibly shaking with fear with Alecia and Clara tightly wrapped around her when they heard an ear splitting shriek of pain and then silence, a silence that they had never experienced before. Claire looked at Alec and said "Ramon has been destroyed he no longer exists he is gone" Before Alec could reply there was another voice that they heard speaking to them a very deep and evil voice "That's correct my dear he has been obliterated as he so rightly deserved" "Who are you and why are you here?" demanded Alec.. My name is Broga and my purpose at this moment is to finish what we started millennium ago but my first duty is to make you all suffer before I kill you all. It is you who have been the catalyst to our suffering and banishment and you will perish.
It was then that Alec could see that blood was slowly oozing out of the eyes, ears and mouths of his family and they screamed in agony, he could see that shadowy figure of Broga shooting beams of red into the ones he loved. He couldn't stand to see his family suffer in so much pain and leapt in front of them to protect them taking the full force of Broga's powerful red beams he screamed in agony as they tore into his body but to his surprise the pain subsided. He continued to absorb the power that Broga was using until he couldn't take any more and raised his arms to protect himself. The power that Alec had absorbed shot from his hands in a blinding white light straight at Broga who screamed and burst into millions of particles leaving no trace of him not even a speck of dust.
Alec then turned to his family to see how badly they were hurt. They were badly injured by the force of Broga's attack on them and were barely clinging to life. Alec embraced them all and screamed at the top of his voice "YOU CANNOT TAKE THEM FROM ME i WON'T ALLOW IT" A golden glow them surrounded this little group it was emanating from Alec it grew brighter with every second until it filled the room with the brightest and deepest gold colour only to vanish a second later.
It was Claire who was the first to awaken and looked at Alec and whispered softly to him "I knew you would save us and save us all for it has always been within you my love" Alec stammered I don't know how but you are all alive and that is all that I wanted and you are safe now. The battle is not over yet revealed Claire, Egesa remains and Ramon is no more both sides have suffered a great loss but Egesa is the more powerful of the two brothers.
