Chapter 5: Getting the key

Laxus P.O.V.

Lucy and I decided to meet at the guild before leaving. I go first thing in the morning. Last night I decided something big. I walked in to talk the the old man about it.

"I'm glad Laxus, it's really about damn time."

"Yeah I know. I was going to before she left but I decided to wait, it killed me everyday waiting." When I walk out of the office Lucy is sitting there waiting to go. I smile when I see her. She is talking to Wendy. Lucy's hair has grown so long and beautiful, but Lucy's magic power has been out of this world. Sh has to be as strong as gildarts now. I can sense when Lucy is coming now without her smell. She looks so pretty in the sunlight right now. When she see's me she gives me the damned smile.

"Ready to go Laxus?"

"Yeah. See you soon skirt." I say to Wendy, she smiles at me and then gives Lucy a hug.

"How do you want to get there?" Lucy asks, I was surprised because we always take the train. "We can go on foot or the train. I've not taken the train in forever."

"We can do whatever you want, we need to be there by tonight however."

"Okay then we're going on foot." Lucy takes her bag and tosses it over her shoulder then starts running. I follow her but it turns out to be harder to keep up with her than I thought. Lucy and I never had to stop. We got to the destination at about one. The train had got there only an hour earlier.

"Damn Lucy, is that how you got everywhere?"

"Well, yes. I only used money when I really needed too."

"Well it paid off, but we're taking the train back." SHe smiles and giggles at me.

"Okay fine. You can if you want to. I like going on foot."

"Jeez Lucy." I smile and shake my head. "I'm so glad to be with you."

"I'm glad to be with you too, but this isn't a trip to be with each other. I need to get that key so we need to do a phenomenal job." Lucy has a look of determination in her eyes. It is so clear that she will do anything for that key, even if it means starting at the bottom again.

"Yes I understand. You're in charge." She nods, not smiling in the least. We start going to the owner of the flier. When we get to the house it is quite large, he must be the mayor or very rich.

"We're the wizards from fairy tail. How can we help you?" Lucy asks kindly, she looked so confident.

"There are a group of dark wizard attacking our village.They are taking everything important. We don't care about getting anything back, we can do that, we just need the wizards defeated."

"We can do that. It said the reward was a gold key, is it aquarius's key?"

"Why yes it is, are you a celestial wizard?"

"Yes I am. My partner, Laxus, is a dragon slayer."

"Really? That is quite wonderful. These wizards are extremely powerful. The master was one of the wizard saints, his name was Jose."

"I know who he is. We fought him before, I assure you we can defeat them."

"Thank you. There guild is there, beyond the hill."

"We will leave now." Lucy stands and I follow her. She looks so determined it was scary. We leave our bags at the house of the mayor.

"Laxus, this is going to be tough. I honestly think we will need help to defeat them, please go and get Erza, Gray and Wendy. We need their help."
