Chapter 1: Falling for you

Laxus P.O.V.

After everyone is finally reunited with the guild people are more selective of who they talk too. I've talked to Lucy more than anyone else in the guild. I do everything to avoid talking to Natsu. He doesn't make it too hard either. He is always talking to Lisanna anyways. Natsu still talks to Lucy but it is very rare now. I always go over and sir with Lucy now. I never realized how kind she is. I spend so much time with her lately. She is the one person I would give my life for. Everytime I see her smile I start to have deeper feelings for her. I want to ask Lucy out, but I'm not sure how to ask her. I was thinking about it late at night and I decided to just ask her to go on a mission with me. I see Natsu and Lisanna take one as soon as I get to the guild. As soon as Lucy walks in I walk over to her.

"Hey, Lucy, do you maybe want to go on a mission together today? I think Natsu is going on one with Lisanna today."

"O-oh, again? Well if he's going on one then I should too. That sounds like fun. Do you have one in mind?"

"Well, no. I was waiting to see what you wanted to go on. We could go on any that look like fun, even the S class ones."

"Okay, let's go look. One that will take a while would be fun."

"Then we can look at the S class ones." I take her hand and lead Lucy up the stairs to look at the missions. Lucy looks at all of them carefully, until finally she decides on the one in a town that will take six hours to get too. The job is to defeat a monster. I look at the picture on the flier, it definitely does not look like an easy job to take. I look over and smile at Lucy. There is no other person I'd rather go on a job with.

"We better go tell the old man what job were taking." Lucy turns to his office and knocks before entering.

"Hey, master. Me and Laxus are going to take this job in Sayuri village. How long do you think it will take?"

"Well, it depends on how hard it is. Like the galuna island job there can be more problems than the island to deal with. The flier sure is onymous. I think it can take up to a month to be honest with you. I would pay two month's rent in advance."

"Okay, sounds great. I'm going to talk to the landlady. Do you want to come with me?" Lucy looks over and ask me. SHe doesn't look to happy about talking to the lady.

"Sure-"

"Laxus, I need to talk to you about something before you go." Gramps says right before I was going to walk out.

"I'll meet you down stair in a minute."

"Okay, take your time." Lucy looks over and smiles that goddamn smile at me. She hurries out the door.

"So, I just want you to know that I would love to have grandchildren as soon as possible."

"What?"

"You're taking Lucy on a mission. This is how it will start. I think you are perfect for each other."

"Thank you, I promise I won't hurt her if that's what you're worried about."

"No, Natsu has already broken her. You are the one that will help fix her. Laxus, I love her so much. My little Lucy brightens everyone's day with her smile. I know you can make that smile brighter."

"I will, I promise I will do anything for her old man. I'll protect her for you and me both." Gramps was starting to tear up.

"I've raised a good child." He says to me, "and a good guild, and especially a good Lucy." I laugh at him

"You did great gramps." I walk out before he full on starts crying. Lucy is down talking to Gray and Juvia. I walk down the stairs and walk over next to her. I put my arm around her shoulders. Lucy starts to blush.

"When do you wanna get going?" I ask her in a low voice.

"Now is fine. See you guys soon." I hold Lucy's hand instead. I start to blush a bit but look away so Lucy doesn't see. She leads me to her apartment to pay her landlady and pack for our next trip. After she's done with everything we go to the train station. I buy our tickets to get to the island. I've never told Lucy how motion sick I get. We find a quiet place to sit.

"Laxus? Are you okay?" She asks me, I go to tell her I'm fine when the train starts to move then I suddenly feel like I'm going to throw up. I lay sideways on the seat like every dragon slayer usually does. Lucy comes and sits next to me. She puts my head in her lap and starts to stroke my hair.

"It's really soft." I hear her mutter before falling asleep. I sleep the whole train ride and when we finally get to the town Lucy wakes me up. I blush so hard when we get off. I take the lead but hold Lucy's hand as I walk.

"Hey, Laxus, do you want to relax tonight, the night before chaos."

"That's a great idea. Where do you want to go?" I turn around to face Lucy. She smiles, again. I fall more and more every time she does.

"Maybe a hotel."

"Sounds good to me." We walk to the nearest one. When I ask for a room there is only a room with one bed.

"Is that okay Lucy? There is only one bed in the room."

"Of course. We can share right?"

"Of course we can." I smile at her then get the room. When we walk up I am pleasantly surprised on how big it actually is. There is the bathroom as soon and you walk in, the bed is queen size but they barely fit the nightstand in, there was a window seat by the window. I take her bag from her and put ours together.

"It is a pretty room." I say walking to the window, I can see all of the town through the window.

"Lucy is looking out at the night sky."

"Not as pretty as you though." I mumble. I don't mean for her to hear, but she starts to blush heavily.

"Thank you, nothing compares to you however." She smiles at me. I blush as well.

"I guess it's obvious I like you a lot. Lucy you are the prettiest person I've ever meet and the sweetest. Will you take me as your boyfriends?"

"I would love to be your girlfriend. Laxus, when I first meet you I was scared by the power you had, now I can see nothing but how sweet and kind you are." I bend down and kiss her. She kisses me back passionately.

"Is that okay, to kiss you? To hold your hand? To hug you?"

"Everything is okay with you." I take her hand and lead her out of the room.

"Then we need to go have a night out in the town." We do everything that night. Lucy smiles everytime she looks at me. When we go back Lucy falls right asleep on the bed. I take my shirt off and pants, like usual I only sleep with boxers on. I fall asleep looking at how beautiful Lucy is. When I wake up Lucy is up and changing into a skirt. She has a pink sports bra on and is looking pretty as usual. I lay in the bed until she sees I'm awake.

"Good morning beautiful." I say to her. She blushes and smiles at me. I get up and put a pair of jeans on with a regular tee-shirt. After both of us are ready to go we find our client, the mayor. I hold Lucy's hand as we walk over to his house. I'm the one who knocks on the door, he opens it within seconds.

"Hello. Please come in come in." He is a short man with a handlebar mustache. "Are you the S class wizards?"

"We are. Whats this about a monster attacking the village?"

"He only attacks sometimes. It's like every other day. He is big and has red glowing eyes. Every Night he destroyed part of the village. We used to be so big and prominent. It started about nine years ago, just before you all went missing. We only wanted fairy tales help but you're the first to respond."

"We're honored you chose our work." Lucy said kindly. She looks so serious however. "We can get this monster as quick as possible. Do you know any weak points to start attacking?"

"No, he has armor all around his body. I think the weakest point is in his mouth, but that is also where he attacks."

"We can do it." I say, I look to Lucy and she nods in agreement.

"Thank you so much."
