Chapter XVIII - The Final Chapter

Dylan's POV

Everyone went to a different place facing their own opponent. And now, I am here at the back of the School Castle. My feet is on top of the sea. In front of Brent who has dark eyebags and looking vicious.

"I've waited all my life to become the King of the Sea." Brent started speaking with hatred on his voice. "But in a snap, you came. Like I was no one with no use at all. You, you have no right to claim what is mine! You are a result and the start of abomination!" He shouted.

"You are right. I did not dream to become a leader nor a king for that matter. But you are wrong as well. I will be the start of a new generation that will help make this world a better place. I am a product of love and I will continue to maintain peace on this world" I answered back to him. His eyes went all black like he was possessed with dark spirit and he surrounded by black aura.

He lifts his hands and conjured a water dragon. "You're dead!" He said and then pointed at me then the water dragon came launching at me. I tried blocking it by a water wall. The wall didn't hold for too long and was broken by the dragon. The dragon was about to bite me but I let the water surround me like a ball to protect me.

The dragon keeps on biting my barrier then produced a small green light that shoots towards me. I think I was able to blocked it because I did not feel anything at all. I decide to produce pointed icicles that directly hit the dragon's month. I made a big one and pushed it through the dragon's head. The dragon fell and dissolved in the water. Brent screamed in anger and then shoots a huge water blast towards me. I dodged it by sinking in to the water beneath me and re appeared behind me which gave me the opportunity kick him. I almost hit him but he dashed away from me just in time to avoid getting hit.

He took something out from his robe which looks like a piece of a wood branch. He dips its tip to the water. The water started covering the branch and now he is holding an ice spear which is at least 3 yards long. I pulled the weapon of Gods and pointed it towards the water beneath me. In no time, it turned to a majestic ice sword. We both ran towards one another and started swinging our weapon. It sounded like 2 metal clashing to one another. Brent jumped mid air and pierced his spear in the air. It extended fast which almost hit me. My reflexes were fast jumped away from my spot. He was about to land back to the water when I build my energy in the sword and swing against the water. It made the water beneath us split and he tried to avoid the impact of my attack but his right leg was hit and is now bleeding.

"You are nothing special" He said while trying to stand up again. "You do not have the power to defeat me! I will kill you, then your parents and everyone that you love! He shouted with anger. The feeling of losing everyone makes me remember the pain that my mother had when Brent told me how she won't be able to bear a child again. "You are wrong." I said firmly and I started to levitate above the sea. "I'm tired of hearing all the threats and trying to make you understand that you are wrong!" My eyes went gold and an invisible wind barrier started to appear all around me. A splash of water joined the wind in circulating around me, followed by fire, lightning and a group of gravel and sand. In short, all of the elements are running around me. I feel like I am being overwhelmed by my power but I still have control on how they work. Brent threw his spear towards me but it was just deflected by the elements that is protecting me. He lifted his hands an push a huge blast of water but I was not affected nor moved even an inch. Brent didn't stop in throwing every kind of power using the water that he knows. His face is full of anger until he shouted and gave a final blast of water.

"Enough!" I shouted and I was also surprised with how my voice sounded. It's like bigger, deep and echoing. "This is the end of your darkness Brent!

I stretched my arms towards him and levitated him. I spread out my fingers and my flames shoots towards him. He is now completely immobilized. I conjured the water and let it surround him. I know that he will not drown because he is also a merman. I added a last blast of lightning to the water which electrocuted him and I didn't stop until he is unconscious. I saw that he is not moving and just floating in the water. I let the water disappear and looked at him closely. He is still breathing and just unconscious. I moved him towards the shore and lay him down in a big block of boulder. I use my magic to lock him down and make sure that he won't be able to move when he wakes up.

I rushed towards the school to help my parents. I was surprised when I saw everyone standing near the main entrance smiling at me. This only means that we were able to defeat all the dark forces.

After a week, the school was fully restored and it seems like the battle never happened. Everyone is happy knowing that the dark forces have been defeated. Though we know that they always comeback, we are still at ease that it won't happen anytime soon.

Brent is still alive, locked in a highly guarded prison. During his trials, the Council asked the mer-people if death penalty would be just as a punishment for him. I rejected the idea and told them to imprison him and strip him away with his power.

My coronation day came as the same time as my 18th birthday. It's actually a triple celebration because that was also the day that Clint proposed to take my hand in marriage, which of course I accepted without any second thoughts.

My mother left and lived with my father as the head of all magical creatures. But of course, she trained me in how to govern the Sea Kingdom. I learned many things and it was so tiring. I still have battle lessons and there are a lot more to learn.

At the age of 23, Cliff and I tied the notch. We had the best honeymoon ever. I am so happy that I have waited before giving my V card to him. Well call me old fashioned but it is something important. Though we make out and fool around sometimes, I always make sure that we stop in a certain point.

After a good whole month, I started to feel sick. Mood swings, nuncios, cravings, heat. Well I forgot that I can get pregnant and it did not sink in until my belly is already swollen. I was afraid and excited at the same time. My mother went back to the kingdom after hearing the news to take care of me. I've learned that the pregnancy of our kind only takes 6 months instead of 9. I will be giving birth in a merman form. Well, I was glad because it won't be a cesarean operation.

Now, I am holding a very handsome baby boy in my hand, and he will be named Darren Cyrus.

Brent's POV

I know. I know that he already gave birth to his first born. A powerful magical baby. Fools! All of them. Do they think that I will just give up easily? Stupid Dylan! He didn't even know that I pass the last ounce of dark magic to him during our battle. And now, the most powerful creature has it. All I have to do know is wait for the right time! And I shall be king!!!
