"Here." He said as he finally found his extra jacket and handed it to her. "Thank you for this." She said and smiled at him.She wore his jacket and caught a whiff of his scent on the jacket. "So. Uhm, Donato. If I'm not being invasive can I ask what you do for a living?" She said and looked at him.
"Well, I work for myself." He said and flashed her a radiant smile. "Oh. Are you anywhere from here in the Philippines?" She asked not minding if she sounds ridiculous. After all, she is asking it for the safety of her identity.
"No, I just came here for vacation actually." He said and yawned. "You, mind knowing your proffession?" He asked as he tried to wipe the sleep off his eyes.
"Well. Uhm, I'm an artist." She said tentatively. "A painter? Theatre actress?" He asked as if his energy was renewed.
"Well, I'm an actress. But nothing like theatre, just for tv things." She said and mentally scolded herself for what she just told the stranger beside her.
"Oh. Still, you are an actress. How is it like?" He asked and looked at her as if she is the most interesting girl in the bus, or just the world maybe.
"Stressful." She said and decided that if she would tell anyone about her, it was to this stranger who just came to the Philippines for a vacation.
"Well, I guess I should have expected that." His laugh was soft but somehow in it was something else. She could not quite put a finger on it.
"So how's it like working for yourself, is it any good?" She asked and put her hands in the pocket of the jacket he lent her.
"It is stressful too, and sometimes it makes me wonder if I should've just pursued my passion." He said, and this time she knew what was it in his voice. It was regret.
