TODAY MORE THAN YESTERDAY

“Ok! So we are done for today. Be sure to submit your assignments by this week end. Thank you.”

“Yes miss.” Some murmured before packing their things and leaving the classroom.

I walked to my usual place- the banyan tree where I always completed my coursework.

 I halted in my way when I saw Grayson sitting right on my place.

“Hey, what are doing here? Are you like my personal stalker now?”

“Yes.” He simply replied with a serious face and started laughing after seeing my astounded expression. I soon joined him.

“That was so not cool.” I said after sitting beside him.

“And you laughed.” He added.

“pfft. Whatever you jerk.” I elbowed him.

“Ouch.” He whined.

“Such a nerdy pussy” I murmured to myself.

“Hey!” he protested back. Man, its funny playing with him.

“What?” I gave him an innocent look. Just as much innocent as the word ‘innocent’ looks.

“You are Cruella.”

“You just did not say that!” I glared at him.

“Oh yeah! I did. Here I will say it again-“

“Don’t you dare!” I stood up and he soon followed my movement.

He was laughing like crazy- clearly enjoying this moment.

“YOU” he said while backing away from me slowly. I followed his movement with my hands on my hips while glaring at him the whole time.

“ARE” he called out between his laughs.

“DON’T” “DON’T YOU DARE!” I growled at him.

“CRUELLA”

I growled furiously at him before running at him to attack him like a wolf.

“You are so dead!” I screamed at him as I jumped on him making us both fall down with a big “uff” from him.

I continued hitting him ignoring his pleas at me to stop. He had no way to escape as I was sitting on his stomach with my legs on each of his side strangling him totally.

“You shouldn’t have said that. Now you are just paying for your mistakes.” I smirked at him as he continued his “ow ow ow” mantra.

“You are just proving what I said. See I am always right.”

I glared murderously at him. I swear if looks could have killed he would have burnt down without any ashes remaining by now.

“You are a big conceited obnoxious jerk I have ever known.” I spat out at him from between my teeth. Man, this guy really drives me insane. I swear if I was alone right now I would have totally whipped my hairs in frustration.

“That’s right actually. I mean you never ever talked to any guy before- to be more crystal clear I would say “you never ever talked to anyone.”

I glared at him and continued walking towards the tree to collect my things from where I had left them.

“What? Cats got your tongue, wolfy?”

“You are so infuriating… I swear if killing was legal I would have strangled you to death by now.”

He burst out laughing at that.

“As if you can kill me. It’ll be sad you know? The world would weep for the loss of such an amazing talented brilliant hot sexy nerdy dude like me.”

“Cocky” I muttered as I picked my things up and started walking my way back to apartment.

“So you didn’t answer me before. What were you doing here?”

“Oh! I was waiting for you.” He replied completely straight forward.

“Why?” I asked to him. “And how come you were sitting right at my exact place? Care to explain.” I asked him stopping to turn to him putting my hands on my waist for emphasis.

“Umm…” he scratched his head. I observed that he did that a lot when he was nervous and thinking about a response.

“Urmm… I wanted to umm… ask you something.” He actually blushed and avoided any eye contact with me. “And about that other one- I umm… just you know... I umm… asked someone.” He replied nervously while picking at him nails.

“What did you wanted to ask?” I couldn’t help but be awe struck at his weird behavior. I swear my jaw was literally licking away the dirt in the pedestal.

He blushed and replied me while totally avoided any eye contact with me. He just kept looking down at the ground. Maybe how dirty my jaw looked lying on the road doing dirty nasty things… “-with me.”

“What?” He looked up and glared at me.

“Sorry I was distracted” I replied sheepishly.

“I asked umm… would you like to umm… spend the day with me. Only if you know- if you want to. Just as friends.” he added in the end.

I didn’t know if I should be sad or happy about the last part. But I replied to him with a big “yes” and a big excited grin on my face.

“Thank you.” He muttered and blushed before looking down again.

“Is my jaw that entertaining to you?” I blurted out without thinking. 

“What?” he looked at me in surprise.

“Forget it! Forget about that. I didn’t- I didn’t say anything.” I forced my legs to walk faster away from him with my bag dangling on the side. Man! I am crazy! I just did say that. Shit! This is embarrassing.”

“Hey! Hey wait.” He shouted at me still in the same place I guess. I forced myself to keep on walking. I could hear him jogging, getting close to me every second.

“Hey” he grabbed me by my shoulder forcing me to stop.

I couldn’t look him in the eyes so I kept looking down.

He didn’t say anything for some time.

“Is my jaw really that entertaining to you?” he teased me. I looked at him with wide eyes- totally shocked.

“I told you to forget it.” I said to him totally flustered. He chuckled.

“Sorry. I couldn’t help but tease you.” he said with a small smile lingering on his lips.

“Hmm…” I murmured my smile mirroring his as we continued on walking the remaining distance with some usual nonsense talks.

“So umm… lily?”

“Hmm…” I replied totally distracted in finding the keys to the apartment in my bags.

“I will umm… pick you up at around 6-ish?” he asked.

“Hmm?” I removed my head from the bag and peered up at him with a confused look before what he asked clicked to me.

“Oh! Ya! Fuckin’ sure.”

He winced before forcing a smile. I didn’t get what that was about.

“Ok! Then I will see you later.bye” he waved at me before turning and walking away the same way. Hands tucked inside jeans pockets. I smiled and shook my head before walking inside and giving away a big happy shriek and falling smack on the coach. And then I left this world to roam the la la land…
