Rules & Regulations

Please read this chapter carefully and check that you are not violating any of the following. In case of violation, you will be removed from the contest immediately.

Rules:
1. Be nice. Any sort of bullying or harassment of others will not be tolerated.

2. You can enter up to 5 stories, but each in a different category. If you want to enter two stories in the same category, PM me for negotiation.

3. Fill out the forms completely and correctly, otherwise your entry cannot be counted.

4. Enter your own original work - plagiarism will not be tolerated. It is okay if you story is based on a writing prompt/somebody else's idea, but you'll have to credit your source then.

5. Stories must be in English.

6. If you change the title of your story, your username or your story's genre, please PM us immediately so we can change any information necessary.

7. Tag your story with the corresponding hashtag of the category you are entering; you can find the hashtags on the entry form.

8. Stories must have at least 3 chapters; at least one of which must have been published in 2017. Short stories and poetry may vary in length.

9. If your story contains sensitive material, e.g. self-harm, gore or sexual contents, you are required to put a warning as not everybody may be comfortable with reading explicit content. Should you not do this, your story will be eliminated immediately.

10. Tag your story with #AstraAwards2017 so we can find it more easily.

11. You are not required to follow this account, but it is appreciated. You should also consider adding this book to your library/reading list in order not to miss any updates.
