the next day
millie's pov
6:28 am
i woke up very early today, so i decided to make a nice breakfast and finish my book. i took a quick shower, put on my robe, brushed my teeth and went downstairs. i made myself some blueberry pancakes and coffee. after a while i went back to my room to get ready for school. i brushed my hair, put on some black, a white sweater, a gold choker necklace and my black doc martens. i grabbed my backpack and headed to the bus station. i was in a very good mood today for some reason, i felt very happy. i hopped on the bus and sat next to noah.
"noaaahh!!!! good morning!" i smiled, hugging him.
"wow mills, why so excited?" noah said, surprised by my random act.
"i can't hug my best friend already?" i asked
"of course you can, but you never do so"
"you have a point"
i put my headphones in and layed my head on noah's shoulder. after a while i felt somebody touch my shoulder. i looked up and saw finn wolfhard. again.
"millie! we are here already" he smiled, waving his hand in front of my face
"oh sorry i zoned out. hey finn"
we walked out of the bus and entered the school. all of our lockers were close to each other, so we went in the same direction.
"okay guys sadie and i have math first, see you at lunch!" noah said waving at us.
i picked up my books and saw finn looking at me.
"you have french next, right?" he asked, taking his stuff from his locker.
"yep, you too?"
"yes, wanna walk to class?"
"um yeah why not"
we walked to our classroom silently and took out seats, which were next to each other. i couldn't concentrate on what teacher was saying, i was deep in my thoughts. why does finn always end up somewhere near me? is it a coincidence? i looked over at him. for the first time i properly looked at him. he had freckles, big brown eyes, long eyelashes and full lips. his hair was messy, but in a cute way. millie bobby brown did you just call him cute? no, definitely not. at this exact moment, he looked back at me, catching me staring at him. he gave me a confused look and my cheeks flushed red. i turned away, so he couldn't see my red face.

lunch
"guys! we should hangout today" sadie suggested.
"we can come to my place, my parents are out of town. we can order pizza and watch a movie" noah said.
"good idea! i'm on it" sadie almost screamed
"me too!" finn and i said in unison.
"great, see you all after school then" sadie waved in our direction
"see ya!"
