One dance one soul

Star's POV

I looked around for Marco but in the sea of people I couldn't find him. Tom noticed me looking around. He let out a sigh."what are you looking for?" He asked.

"Oh. I was looking for Marco."
"Marco?"
"I just want to see if he is having fun. He helped plan this and if he isn't having fun that would be..." but Tom cut me off."

"I get it. Go check on him I will go get something to drink. "

I pushed my way out threw the crowd. I didn't think Marco would be dancing so I scanned the rim of the room that was less populated. I find Marco on a bench looking at  something in his hand.

I walked over. "Hey." I started.

Marco's POV

I was sitting looking at the necklace I probably wont get a chance to give it to Star. Thinking. About how I did lover her. It took me a while to find out, but i know this is real. Not just some fling that won't even last a week.

But what if Star didn't feel the same way. What if she found someone else and I am just a friend. What if she is back with Tom? I couldn't leave not know how she felt about me.

Sudenly I heard a voice. It was Star. I quickly put the necklace in my pocket and scooted over to make room so she can sit.

"How's the party?" She asked.
"It's fine. I have been to some that are really crazy but this ranks on the best I guess."
"Thad good." Star looked at the propel dancing.
"Listen, Star." She tuned to me. Which didn't really help. "I have something to ask."
"Yes Marco." She moved closer to the point where our faces where almost touching. This made us both blush. I know I was probably as red as my suit king Butterfly lended me.
"I just have to know before I leave and all.  how do you feel about.....me?"
I said it. I closed my eyes. I didn't want to see star's reaction.

I opened one eye. Star had that look on her face when she was thinking.

Moons POV

The party was great Star and Marco did a great job. The announcer came up to the microphone and spoke.

"To say we celebrate the queen's birthday. Also the Blood moon. So I invite all of you to join me and celebrate these two momentous occasions. When the light of the blood moon shins down it will select two people and bind their souls forever."

I couldn't see Star any where. And I got a little concerned. So I got up and walked around the see where she went off to.

Star's POV

This was so sudden. I didn't really give it much thought before. I do I really feel about Marco. Yes we are friends but these past few days it feels like something more.

"Marco you are my best friend in the whole world, but..." I didn't finish. A red light shown down on me and Marco.

Marco's POV

I had this sudden urge to start dancing. With out control I extended my hand down the Star.

She took it and I led her to the dance floor. Everyone made a circle around us . But Star didn't seem to mind. So we danced.

Star's POV

It felt like no one was watching even though every one was. The whole out side world vanished from my mind. All the problems and unanswered questions melted.

I looked into Marco's eyes as we danced. It looked like he had little star's in his eyes.

I felt so comforted and safe with him the music in the back round put me at ease. I just couldn't help my self. I rested my head on Marco's chest as we danced and closed my eyes.

Suddenly the light was blocked. Two people pushed threw the crowd. Tow people filled with rage and anger. Tom and my mother.
