A/N Hi everyone, this update came sooner than I expected it to. I just lost myself in writing and then bam nearly 2000 words.

This update is a cute one. But please, don't be expecting this all the way through this story. Bella and Edward have ALOT of obstacles to face. This is what I will describe to be an emotional roller coaster. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Blessing upon you:

Blessings upon you

my baby unborn

Safely inside me

asleep and so warm.

Sleep must come easy

to those who are unborn,

as the maker so silently

fashions your form.

Sleep while you can now

so watery and warm,

for outside this world

is a crashing storm

Soon you will discover

the taste of your tears,

so sleep now my loved one,

my baby, my dear.

Edward clutched my hand as we drove home, his thumb gently stroking across my skin.

"It's going to be a little girl with your hair and eyes." He murmured randomly. The smile was still attached to his face ever since we'd left the hospital.

"No, I think it's going to be a little boy with your green eyes. Hopefully he'll inherit your hair and smile." I hummed, glancing down at my stomach and then at the ultra scan picture.

"I'm convinced it'll be a girl. You know me, I'm good at guessing." He winked and then released my hand placing it back on the steering wheel.

The drive home was fairly quiet we didn't really speak, we were just happy and content at this moment. I knew as soon as the news started to spread about my pregnancy, that me and Edward would rarely get time to just being a small family. Especially with his and my siblings. I was happy that I knew my baby would grow up loved by both sides of his or hers family, the only thing that worried me was myself. Would I be a bad mother? Most importantly, will my baby love me?

Jacobs harsh words from the past still etched over my frail skin, and I was still unsure if anyone could see it. Edward certainly did. Would our child? The scars of my rotten past would probably haunt me for the rest of my life, ands I was scared. Oh I was so scared.

I busied myself once we got home, trying to distract me from any negative thoughts that tried to intrude my mind. New York truly looked amazing from up here, it looked almost peaceful. Yet how could the city that never slept look peaceful? The golden brim that rimmed along the horizon seemed to transform the clouds into many shades of pink and purple. I loved the evening. It was my favourite time of the day. Not only was the day over, it meant that a new beginning was coming. The empire state building looked as though it was touching the atmosphere of the earth, even from the top of Edward and Emmett's penthouse it seemed to look so.

I decided after prepping the food that I was waiting to put in the oven, I'd continue with the book I was writing. Edward had gone for a walk with Bear, and I had a lot of free time on my hands. Everyone would be over in around 3 hours, that gave me plenty of time to write.
