To be transferred to another school in a different country during the middle of a school year is one of the many nightmares that a child could possibly have and Phil Lester was among that unlucky souls.
This is the thing, Phil's father was a business man, so that meant he had to move from one place to another frequently and this time it was to another country were he didn't even know the language. In conclusion he was totally fucked as this time it was to India. He had heard a lot about India , like it had got variety of foods, different cultures, different religion, languages etc...but the thing that worried the most was that would he able to fit in among other students?
Anyone could be easily attracted by his charisma there was no doubt in that but in India especially in a small state like Kerala he was not so sure.In Kerala school started during June it also meant that it would be rainy season, so he would have to carry an umbrella along with his schoolbag and have to wakeup early to catch the public transportation. Talk about an easy lifestyle.
...The clattering sound of raindrops hitting the window had woken Phil from his sweet slumber. He looked outside the window and saw tiny droplets covering his window like beads of pearls scattered messily. His blue eyes widened in fear when thunder hit the ground making him hide under the huge pile of blankets. He mentally sighed.
All he wanted was to be in bed all day covered in blankets, surrounded with pillows and reading a book while sipping hot chocolate but reality was not always sweet and fluffy like a cotton candy , it could also be in the form of a building filled with teenagers and adults who did not give a flying fuck about them.
So after ten minutes of contemplating about his life existence he finally got up and made up his mind up to got to school.
When he reached the school it was still raining, most of the people were holding black coloured umbrellas while he held a red one.He walked past the people like a red rose petal floating through pitch black water, and then he noticed a glimpse of pastel blue in between the black ones. He walked a bit faster to find the owner of that umbrella.
The rain was getting stronger by minute, wind blew harshly that made tree branches shake vigorously.
Phil walked towards the pastel coloured umbrella ignoring the puddles and cold wind that made him shiver...
...
Brown curly hair covered with rain droplets, pink lips that was so kissable , a little bit of freckles made Phil speechless.
He stood there staring at the boy who was little smaller than him with nothing but adoration in his eyes.
"Uhmm" the brunette looked up, his lips forming a thin line , stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do.
"Wow" Phil breathed out, that all he managed to say because the boy in front of him made the vocabularies he learned fly far away.
"Excuse me, can I help you with something?" He asked Phil annoyingly.
"N-no I -i um actually y-yes can you um help me f-find my c-class" Phil somehow connected the words and made it into a sentence, mentally cursing him for stuttering.
"Yeah sure follow me" the brown eyed boy said nonchalantly.
"So what's your name?" He asked
"My name's Dan "
"You don't look like you are from here" i said
"I'm from England my family moved to here four years ago" he said in low voice.
''I guessed from your accent , by the way I'm Phil and I'm also from England " Dan's eyes widened and looked Phil in awe.
Dan noticed how Phil was an easy going person not like him who hated the world and everyone in it.
"So you are gonna stare at me all day or show me my class?
"Right. The class."After few minutes of walking Phil found his class and also found out that he shared most of his classes with Dan.
Phil noticed that Dan sat alone at the back of the class and also had no friends.
"Hey can I sit with you, if you don't mind" Phil asked him.
Dan sighed and moved a bit.
"Phil I don't think its good for you to sit with me" he whispered. Phil was taken aback from his words because how could someone not wanted to be friends with him?.
