Chapter one: Alex

ALEX
"NO!" I wake up in a cold sweat my heart is beating fast faster than lightning. I pant I turn to see if my brother is in the room, theres no one. I get up and try opening the door, but it swings open "Alex, are you ok?" My twin brother asks worried sick. " I'm fine just a dream" I tell him " Dad did give you the gift of prophecy" he tells me. " Gods Michael you always have to bring up the fact that I'm just like dad and your just like mom, we live in the same place for a reason" I tell him " Yeah Yeah, whatever get dressed today we fight" He says " okay" I sit on the sunlight thinking of the dream and what to wear. The boy he seemed to be the son of Poseidon. Who is he, where is he? My typical dilemma every time i have a prophecy dream, thanks dad for this. I get dressed and get my bow and arrows and go out side.
"Look who decided to show up" says my lovely frienemy Annabeth. "Good morning to you too bitch" I say with a smirk. Like I'm supposed to be scared of her because shes the daughter of Athena, please. I walk away with the sly smirk still on my face. I was bullied as a kid so I don't mind archery is the only way i escape, that and music. People compare me to my father because I'm beautiful I can sing, heal people, I'm the best archer in camp and whatever, but I'm not like him it comes to telling the truth. I should have mentioned this earlier, but- "Brown eyes!" says the stupid gullible son of nemesis Ethan. "What?" I tell him kind of annoyed. "Luke wants to talk to you" he tells me. Like my morning hasn't been bad enough. "ok...I guess I have to go don't I?" He nods in reply. So I walk my butt to his cabin. "What the hell do you want?" I ask my ex-boyfriend who's also a pain in my ass but my friend. "Nothing much-" I cut him off "I'm not doing any favors got it" I tell him "Fine then good morning" he says "yeah not really can I go now douche?" He waves as to say yeah you can go. The only thing that's got me to keep going through this stupid morning is that blue eyed boy.
I'm called to see Chiron something has happened or I'm in trouble. "Crap!" I mutter.

" I have something for you to do your not in trouble." he told me since he saw that i was clenching my bow. I sighed with relief. "shoot away captain" I told him. He shot me with a serious look. " Ok ok I'll get serious" I told him.
" I want you to tomorrow to hide in the shadows-" He says as I cut him off " How am I supposed to do that I control sunlight at my own will !" I say sharply. He shoots me a cold look "Alex! I'm asking you because of your dream!" He tells me with a harsh tone. " My prophecy dream? What about it?" I tell him. "The boy you saw is the son of Poseidon and he's in danger and you must help me tomorrow to protect him." he tells me. " Oh, Ok I'll take it I'll see you tomorrow" I walk out and shoot an arrow with a flame flare for my brother to know I'm not in trouble.
I have to protect Poseidon's son!
