"ripley! come 'er boy!" i yell.

peaking my head around noisily, as i shake the bag full of milk-bones.

"if you come out you'll get a treat!" i say sing songly.

i wander down the street calling out his name.

i hear a familiar 'woof'' and start to run towards it, "rip! where are ya buddy" i call

i hear another bark this time accompanied by a soft voice.

i run in the direction of the barks which leads me to a
small house at the end of the street.

"jeepers ripley.. what have
you gotten yourself into." i mumble shaking the bag of treats.

"ripley..." i call out anxiously.
i hear a bark and walk to the back of
the house, bumping into a bamboo fence.

i stand on my tip toes peering over the fence. to see ripley
surrounded by kittens. and a man..

"ripley!" i yell, "how'd you- what?" i mutter, taking in
my surroundings.

i unlatch the gate and skip towards him.
i let out a small chuckle
and bend down to his height.

attaching his leash to his yellow collar, i scoop him up with on hand
and wipe the dirt off my shorts, with the other.

my eyes lock with the strangers
who is standing in front of me.

this startles me because
i had completely forgotten he was there.

"oh" i cry out,
the man standing before me smiles

"you should keep your dog
under control." he says laughing.

i scrunch up my face angrily.
"i do.. he just l-likes to be free." i stutter out, my face turning crimson
from embarrassment.

with that i turn around and stomp away from the man,
and his millions of cats.

i stomp past his house, down the block, and back to my house.

(A/N yes i am fully aware of how much this sucked. first chapters are hard, okay!? anyway it'll get better eventually. i hope... and i was trying to multitask. haha excuses.)
