It was dark.
Everything.
Was I asleep? But I don't sleep. I heard the noise of my alarm clock. Tick. Tick. Tick. Sreaming at me to wake up soon for my first day of 'normal' school. I did not want to go to school because I'm afraid of what they might find out. Who will I meet? Will I even find any friends? What will it be like? All of these questions all about a high school called Hopes Peak High School. I manage to roll myself out of bed and stand up on my feet. I look at the time, 6:00 am. School starts at 8:00 am. I slowly move towards my closet. I look for clothes to wear. I almost gave up and just have worn a t-shirt and some jeans but then I found it, the outfit. It was a purple long sleeved sweater that fell off of my right arm and some jean shorts with rips in them. I quickly slip them on, along with black boots that looked as dark as the night sky and my paint splattered backpack of course. I don't eat anything for breakfast. I grab my phone and cheak the time, 6:30. I didn't want to be early to school so I look around the house to see if I missed anything.
When I pass by my parents room I feel a lump in my throat. It felt like I was trying to swallow a rock whole. Will they ever come back? I grab my house key and head out to the garage. The garage door slowly swings open to remind me of all the times I made snow angels in the driveway when I was younger. There was not much snow, but enough for me to make snow angels. Or at least to think that I could. My bike was in the middle of the garage where my parents cars should have been. I walk to school trying to think of ways I won't be socially awkward and make some friends. I was so lost in my train of thought that I ran into someone. I quickly apologize and help them gather there stuff splattered everywhere before they could see my face. I was about to walk away when they took a step in front of me so I could go no farther. They hold out there hand and say "I'm Ray, and who might this beautiful girl be standing in front of me?" I try to ignore him and walk past him but he keeps stepping in front of me.
"It's none of your business."
"Whoah, we have a feisty one here!" At this point I'm about to just push him aside and keep walking to school but I stay calm and respond
"Can I go to school now?"
"Not until you tell me your name." I push him aside and keep walking, my dark pink wavy hair falling over my face. I look across the street to my left, to my surprise I see someone. He had bright red hair covering his right eye. He was wearing a white shirt with three cyan stripes in the middle of his shirt and two cyan stripes on his sleeves with a pair of jeans. I could tell he was a red fox by his orange ears and tail, clearly not in the shape of werewolves ears and tails that I've seen plenty times before. He was propped up against a tree with ear buds in, starring at me from across the street. When our eyes meet we both just seemed to freeze and just stand there looking into each other's eyes blankly. I saw something in him. Something that I've never seen before in anyone. I quickly look away, before they thought anything suspicious. I kept walking till I got to school.
