"Mrs. Mills" the principal says standing up and shaking my mums hand "yes sir, what seems to be the problem" she said sitting down next to my chair "you son seems to have punched a 12th year in the face" Steven (the principal) said looking my straight in the face "well I don't seem why is that a problem" my mum said standing up signalling me to stand up as well "because he almost broke Brody's nose" Steven said showing my mum the scan of his nose "well I'm sure he has a good reason for doing that" my mum said walking out, me following

We were home and I was walking to my bedroom "eh Max" my mum says, I turned around "yes mother" I say "down" she said pointing to the basement "no mum come on I didn't do anything" I begged and begged not to go down "yes" she gave a stern look till I got down there

Okay so your probably wandering what's wrong with the basement, well it's moldy and my grandparents used to lock my mum in the basement whenever she was naughty or did anything bad and now she does it to us

"NO MUM PLEASE" I heard Tilly scream as the basement door opened and Tilly was thrown in, she ran up and hugged me "its okay Tills I'm here" I said stroking her hair gently, she just cuddled up to me crying into my T-shirt

It had been about 4-5 hours and I had woken up with a bang from upstairs but I couldn't move because Tilly was asleep onto of me, she had drulled all over my T-shirt.

I heard another scream that sounded like it came from Tilly but Tilly was right next to me, I think it was Leo, oh yea did I mention our dad abuses us so it was 1 of 2 thinks 1. Leo had a bad dream and screamed or 2. Leo has been woken by my dad probably being drunk.

Suddenly the basement door opened and my dad came down and grabbed Tilly as she woke up and screamed "MAX HELP" I tried going after her "AHH MAX" I tried and tried but my dad slammed the door and locked it again, I could only imagine what was going through Tilly's mind right now "AH DAD PLEASE STOP" I heard Tilly scream at the top of her lungs, I could hear a bit of movement and I could see a bit through the peep hole.

My dad took off his belt and started whipping Tilly until she was too week to even scream anymore and then he got the other 2 and did the same but I was safe, or so I thought

My dad unlocked the door and I ran away into the shadows as he threw each child down 1 by 1. Then he shut the door and went back to bed, I rushed over to them, Harvey could stand he was used to it, Leo was sorta used to it, he still hurt but not too bad, but Tilly was like almost dead that has never happened to Tilly before, I picked her up and took her over to the couch that was down here "will she be okay" Leo asked scrambling over after us "I'm sure she will be Leo, I'm sure she will" I say reassuring him

We all slowly drifted off into sleep hoping dad would be away by the time we got up
