Max's POV
14 hours of no company. Of no food, no water. I saw the basement door open and Tilly ran in and hugged me. Then the door shut again "Tills" I asked as she sat there crying in my arms "Tills what's wrong" I asked as she kept crying "Tills its okay I won't let anything happen to you" I said as she kinda stopped slightly "now Tilly can you tell me what's wrong" I asked "yes" she said quietly "what is it" I asked as she sniffles lightened "its dad, he's....he's started again" Tilly said as I nodded "but it's okay, I'm here, I'm not gonna let anything or anyone harm you" i said as she smiled "thanks" she said hugging me.
Tilly was asleep on the sofa and I was sitting with my head at her feet. I couldn't bare to sleep. Not with Tilly around. I also couldn't bear to think about Leo and Harvey, the only thing I constantly hear is screams. Suddenly the basement door opens and Tilly wakes up with the bang "Oh Maxi" my dad says in a creepy voice and Tilly got really scared "Tills stay here, don't move" I said as she nodded and I walked to my dad. I was pulled away by my dad into the living room, I was so scared, I knew what he was capable of. He got out his box of belts and picked out the one with little spikes in it
Tilly's POV
I was in the basement all alone, I couldn't go to sleep because I was too worried, I can fall asleep when Max is here because I know nothing bad will happen but without him I don't feel safe at all. The only thing I heard was Max's screams of pain. I couldn't bear to listen anymore
Max's POV
He had finally stopped, instead of throwing me down to the basement the tied me to the wall and went and got Tilly, he got out the same belt "NO TILLY" I yelled trying to get away from the wall but I couldn't, I just had to sit there and watch my own little sister getting beat.
It was finally over and he threw us back into the basement, I then realised 2 things, 1 I had my phone and 2 there was a secret escape me and Harvey used to use when we were younger "listen Tilly okay I need us to stay very quiet okay" I say as she nods, I then text Cole "hey, I know its late but can me and my sister stay are your house" I texted and he almost texted back immediately "it would be my pleasure xx" he texted as I smiled and put my phone away, I grab Tilly's arm and pull her over to the wall, "please don't be shut, please don't be shut" I said to myself as I lifted away my painting, I saw that it wasn't shut but it had got bigger, I was wondering by who but I didn't really bother. I put Tilly through first, then I went right after, we made it out and I took Tilly's hand, "you ready" I asked as she nodded but she looked very tired
By the time we got to Coles Tilly was asleep in my arms, Cole brought us in and up the stairs to his room, I lay Tilly down on a blow up mattress that Cole must have blown up. "So" I said kinda awkwardly "ah yes, I have 1 of 2 beds for you, either you can sleep on this double bed with me or that double bed by yourself" he said as I smiled "with you" I said as he smiled "okay" he said as he took off his T-shirt and trousers so he was in just his underwear and got into bed, I did the same. We lay there face to face "so" he said "see earlier, yeah turns out I may not be gay, I may be bi" I said as he nodded "well yeah I'm bi, I know I said I was gay but there almost the same thing" he said as I nodded "not really" I said as he nodded "okay but I just wanted you to know you weren't alone" he said as I smiled "well thank you" I said as I turned over "goodnight" we both said as he put his arm around my waist and I smiled and fell asleep
The next morning I woke up with Tilly jumping on top me and Cole "get up" she said a she climbed off seeing we were both awake. I sat up and hear a gasp, it was Cole, I tuned and looked at him and he was in shock "what" I asked as he just looked at my stomach, then I remembered about all the bruises and scars "listen let me explain" I said as he slowly nodded "its my dad, he beats us" I say as Cole looked at little scared. He finally snaps out of it, "it's okay, I understand" he says as he smiled at us
A/n: oooo, the only reason his name is Cole is because like one of my best friends is called Cole and I fell like he really suits this character! Anyways I hope you enjoyed
