I can't do this anymore (coming out)

Max's POV
I can't do this anymore, I can't keep pretending to be someone I'm not, I don't care if Lily outs me to the school, I'll have to live with it. I just can't live this lie anymore. I have to come out, I have to. Not just for me but for my family, my friends, but mostly for myself. I don't care about Lily anymore. I was going to do it.

I went down the stairs and gathered up my family "guys I need to tell you someone" I said "I'm gay" I continue as they all nod. "We'll talk after school" my mum said as basically rushed me out the door. I saw Kimberley's car waiting for me.

I got into Kimberley's car "guys I need to tell you something" I said as they all looked at me. "I'm gay" I said as they all smiled. "What about Lily" Emily asked after a little minute of silence "she was blackmailing me, because she knew I was gay" I said. Then all the questions started coming, it was just basically a mash of noises. "One at a time" I said as Tom looked at me "when did you know" he asked as I shrugged "I guess when I was about 7, I was watching Now You See Me 2 and I thought Lizzy Caplan was hot, but then I thought Dave Franco was hot too." I said as he nodded.

After a lot of questions and explaining we finally arrived at school. I quickly went to the recording bit were we record stuff to put on the tannoy, I turned it on and began to speak "hello ladies and gentlemen of Yateley school, as some of you can tell I am Max Mills, I have a confession. I didn't sleep with Lily. For a matter of fact I'm actually gay. Lily made all this up because she was in love with a gay person. If you have any questions I will be at the top of the steps at both break and lunch" I said as I quickly snuck away and went to form, while walking down the corridor a lot of people were staring at me.

One boy came up to me and pulled me aside "Max" he said as he looked down, I didn't hear him say anything else, the next thing that happened was a bunch of Year 11's came up and started to beat me up. Once I was almost passed out they stopped "faggot" one of them said as they spat on me.

"Omg are you okay" he asked as he helped me up "yeah I'm fine, I better get used to it right" I joked a little bit the boy didn't want to laugh at this moment. He opened a closet and shoved me in it, he walked in after me and locked the door. He came up and started kissing me very passionately "me too" he said through kisses as he started grinding and I could feel his erection. "Stop" I said as he started to hump me from the front. "Stop" I said pushing him off "we can talk" I said as he sat up "what about" he said referring to his erection. "Figure it out" I said as he started masturbation right in front of me.

"So you wanted to talk" he said after he had finished. "Well I don't want you to rape me in a school closet" I said as he nodded "yeah I'm sorry I don't know what came over me" he apologized and I smiled, "I don't exactly know if I'm ready for dating yet, I mean I only just came out" I said as he nodded "maybe we can get to know each other, my house after school, ** ******** ******" he said his address " yeah sure" I said.

I came out the closet (gay joke) and walked to form. I say down and I saw everyone looking at me. I couldn't do this, all day people are gonna be staring at me all day. No, I've made my decision and I can't change it.

Time quickly skipped past until break, I went outside and stood at the stairs, like I said. A lot of people came up to me and asked if I would just go back into the closet. I kindly refused their offer and just kept standing there.

Quickly before I knew it, I was back out on those steps, some people actually came up to me and for real. There were some amazing stories and heartfelt stories about people coming out.

I got home and I had so many DM's from everyone I know saying about how much they love me and no matter what they will always be here for me. It put a smile on my face as I read every single one of those DM's and each one was just as nice as the last, I truly felt alive and happy and free.

A/N: well hello my fellow aliens I am dad too announce that I have decided to finish the book here as Max is really happy and I just really like the ending, I feel happy for max. I may write a follow-up of this book like when he's married or something like that I'll figure it out, but comment below if you want me to do a follow up.
