Mia's POV
I climbed out of bed. Oh. Right. Moving day. My alarm had rung at 5:30 am. We left in an hour. One hour. My stuff was all packed. I was mainly ready. I got up, and got undressed before wrapping a towel around myself and walking to our bathroom. I choked up thinking that this would be my last shower here. Oh, stop, Mia, I scolded myself, itsjustabathroom. Justashower. Hisahouse. I knew it wasn't, though. This was my life. I was born here, raised here, in the City of Brotherly Love. Now, I had to leave for some far away state I had never been to. This was gonna suck. I cried a little in the shower, but I got ahold of myself. I washed my hair with rose scented shampoo, and got out of the shower. I re wrapped myself in a towel, and ran back to my room.I put on a light blue shirt, and dark blue jeans today. I still did my routine makeup the same every day. Then, I went downstairs. It was 6 am already. “Hey, sweets," my dad called, “come help pack the car. Mom will be riding the plane with you, but I'm driving down." I grabbed my bags and headed outside. Reluctantly, I threw them in the trunk. I went back in, and told my dad, “All done." My mom came down the stairs. The house was clean, and we hopped in the car. I waved “Bye" to my house, in the manner a small child might. A tear rolled down my face, and we drove away.
My mom and I drove along. Dad was still at home, he was driving the U-Haul truck down. “Honey, your makeup is smeared," mom said sympathetically. She wiped the tear off my face. Before I knew it, we were at the dreaded airport.
We rolled our cargo up to the airport on a cart. I didn't want to go through security, but the time had come. I slipped off my shoes and walked through the metal detectors. We then went to McDonald's, but I just got an iced tea. I slurped it up, we had to go. Our flight was boarding.
The plane ride was long. I was bored, and I nodded off…
We were in Georgia, and I was tired as shit. I stumbled off our plane, and eventually to the car. Again, I nodded off…
We arrived at our new house. It was big, shiny, and clean. There were two similar houses on either side. I wanted to meet our new neighbors, so I told mom what I was doing. She said there were kids living on both sides, and one was famous. It tool me a moment to register this. Holy crap, did she say famous?! “Who?" I asked. She replied, “Oh, just that kid Chandler Riggs." I almost died on the spot.
