I was at the foot of Phoenix Drop, waiting for my dear friend to open the gates. "Thanks Dante!" I yelled so that he could hear. Dante wanted me to wait for him to get down.
"Boy, am I happy to see you." He said.
"For what reason?" I asked.
"Well you see we've have a problem."
"What kind?
"I'm sure you know Kenmur, right?"
I nodded.
"Well I believe Zane has kidnapped his wife."
I gasped "Zane is here?" I faked as if I hadn't known already. I knew that he escaped the nether since it was such an uproar in that realm. I just didn't want Dante to know since the nether would just remind him of his brother.
"Alicia, don't play dumb. I know you already know since I can smell netherack on you so Zane escaping would be very viral." Dante sighed "Anyways, can you help me find Kenmur's wife, Emmalyn?"
"Of course. Anything for my former superior."
"Oh? Good. Well then I think Zane took her to the nether so let's try and look there first." Dante says walking immediately.
"Uhhhh.... Dante, you know I'm a magiks user right?"
"Yea I know, which is why I need you to create a portal to the nether for me."
"Heh heh well you see I can already sense Zane in the area. In fact I already know where he is." I say.
"Oh. Really?" Dante says dumbfounded.
"Yep. Soooo can you go and get me Kenmur please?"
"Hmm? Why? He's not a warrior."
"That doesn't matter. If he loves his wife then he'll do anything for her. Besides, I'm not going to make him fight. I simply need him to take Emmalyn out of the area."
"Okay."
~~~TIME SKIPEU~~~
I had already told Kenmur of the plan. Kenmur is going to try to take Emmalyn away and right before Zane is about to slice through Kenmur I'll block.
Zane and I have a vicious fight. During our battle he kept on looking behind me and that was his weakness, but right before I could knock him out he blocked my hit. He kicked me on the ground. By then he could've stabbed me right then and there, but didn't. I had nearly forgotten of our past. While he was hesitated I tripped him and he fell to the ground to where I knocked him out. I trapped him in a pendant because his knowledge was too great to be killed. I looked behind me and saw that Zane was looking at the fragment. I took it with me since it seemed important.
When I got back Kenmur and Emmalyn thanked me for uniting them once again. I stayed there for one night and left at dawn off to the Phoenix Alliance Village. They thought that I was a threat so they called there four best guards, Garroth, Katelyn, Lioshant, and Travis. They all surrounded me. "Come on! You really don't remember me?...Katie, Gar gar, Lio, and Trav?"
"Alicia???" They all exclaimed.
"Heh heh the one and only."
They all came sheathed their swords and hugged me.
"Wait a minute. How do you know Alicia, Lioshant?" Garroth questioned.
"Well you see I me-" I started.
"I was talking to Lioshant." Garroth interrupted.
"Garroth... Alicia was the one that got me out of the Tula region." Lioshant answered.
"Alicia. Is this true?"
"Yes, of course it's true. What makes you think it's not true." I asked.
Garroth stayed silent. Katelyn gave Garroth a cold glare.
"Anyways let's get back to the main land." Travis said.
We all ended up at a tavern but we only took a few shots. Lioshant was under aged so he couldn't drink yet.
"So Alicia, why are you here?" Katelyn asked.
"I had to meet someone promptly since I don't really know what to do with this." I hold out the pendant.
"Uhhh wear it around your neck." Travis said.
"Zane's in here."
"You should've killed him when you had the chance." Garroth and Katelyn say in unison.
"His knowledge is too powerful to kill. I just had to stall."
"Who are you taking it to?" Katelyn asked.
"I...I can't tell you. He or she does not want you to know them."
"Wh-" Katelyn and Garroth shouted.
"Well then have a nice meeting with him or her." Lioshant interrupted.
As I left I heard Katelyn and Garroth scolding Lioshant as to why he interrupted. All he said was to respect anyone's privacy.
That's what I loved about little Lio, his patience and respect for everyone.
I went hiking to the old wyvern cave. I knew some people there would help me.
"Who dare enter the sacred cave?" roared Raven.
"Chill Raven, it's just me." I said. Raven simply stared at me, nodded, and walked away.
"Alicia?" a soft voice behind me questioned.
I turned around a hugged the owner of the voice.
"Vylad! It's so good to see you. How've you been? Is your health okay? Did you miss me? Have you heard of the news about Zane? About Gene? About Shad too?" I bombarded with questions.
"Heh heh it's good to see you too, I've been doing just fine, I have heard of the news about Zane, Gene, and Shad." Vylad responded. "And I did miss you."
I just smiled. "Well I need your instructions on how to turn things into books."
"Well you know you just need leather, paper, and-" Vylad started.
"Vylad I'm not dumb. I know how to make a book. I meant... how do you turn someone's knowledge into books." I said, whispering the last part.
"Tch, what makes you think I know how to turn someone's memory into books?"
"I asked for someone's knowledge, not memory and I know you know how because I've seen you do it before."
"Ha! Really? With whose knowledge?" Vylad scoffed.
"My mother." I answered with a straight face.
"I'm sorry. I had to. Hyria told me to. To make sure her life would be easier in the future."
"You don't have to be sorry. I already knew why."
There was an awkward silence.
"You'll need to put the person in a pendant, grind the jewel in to powder, mix the powder with they reader's tears till dissolved, and put 150 drops of the fluid on the front and back of a page in a blank book till there's no more liquid." Vylad said as he gave me a note with the instructions. "In case you forget." He then walked away.
