The plane touched down in New York a little past 5:00 p.m. After the flight, Trevor insisted on going to the hotel to workout before doing anything else.

Staying in Manhattan, they checked into the famous Plaza hotel. Trevor and Deon got two separate rooms and were on different floors.

"I'll meet you in the gym," Trevor said.

Trevor had been to New York a few times in the past, but every time was always impressed by the scale of everything. By comparison, it made Vancouver look like a small town.

It was Deon's first time ever leaving Vancouver, he was completely blown away by the size of New York City. The energy of the city was unlike anything he had ever felt before. The crowded sidewalks, the giant stores, tall skyscrapers, it was becoming a little too overwhelming for him. The noise of the traffic, people shouting, cars honking their way through the congested streets, it all made him feel anxious.

After their workout and getting cleaned up, they met in the lobby to head out for the evening.

Taking the subway into Brooklyn, they met Steve at one of his favourite restaurants, Peter Luger's Steakhouse.

Steve sat in a table positioned so that he could see the front entrance. As soon as Trevor walked in, Steve stood up and nearly ran toward Trevor with open arms.

"Trevor! How you doing buddy?" Steve said with enthusiasm. The two embraced in a meaningful hug. "I can't believe you're here in New York City. It's so good to see you."

"You too, man," Trevor said, stepping away. "This is my assistant, Deon."

"You have a man servant?" Steve joked.

"I'm not a man servant," Deon said defensively.

"He's just joking, Deon," Trevor said.

Deon gave a quick nod but was still clearly bothered by the comment.

"Come, join me. I have a table for us. I took the liberty of ordering the most expensive wine on the menu and a couple of appetizers. I figured you guys would be hungry."

"I appreciate that, thank you," Trevor said, taking a seat.

"How have you been, man?"

"I've been good. Just focusing on work at the moment."

"I see that. You guys just announced Unity Bank. That's going to be huge."

"I hope so."

"So what brings you to New York? Did you miss me that much?"

"How did you know?" Trevor said. "Yes, I came to visit you and also to talk to that Trinity Global company. Did you ever find out anything more about them since we last spoke?"

"I asked around. Whatever their deal is, they keep it pretty tight lipped. No one I know has ever heard of them, and the people I know are connected to all the major players in New York."

"Perhaps they are not based in New York," Trevor said.

"Well, then what the hell are you doing here?"

"Do you want to come with me to the meeting and see what they're all about?"

"Where is their office located?"

"They told me to call them and tell me where they can pick me up. They will then drive to their secret headquarters."

"Sounds a bit mysterious if you ask me."

"I know, right? But aren't you curious? Maybe this is some Illuminati / Skull and Bones / Bilderberg group invitation. Don't you want to peak behind the curtain and know who runs the world?"

"Well, you're a billionaire now, it's about time you get invited to one of their parties."

"Right?"

"So are you seriously considering their offer?" Steve asked.

"I consider opportunities and this is an opportunity."

"To do what?"

"To move onto a new chapter of my life."

"Suppose you sell your company for fifty billion, what would you do with yourself?"

"While I love Unity, there are other important things in life."

"Like what?"

"Helping others. Making a positive impact on this world."

"Why can't you do that now?"

"I don't want to spread myself too thin. There's a lot I want to accomplish in this lifetime, but in order to be truly successful in those other ventures I need to focus my time. I can't do that running a large corporation."

"The grass is always greener, huh?" Steve said.

"It's not about who has the nicest grass, it's about legacy and potential. I want to do great things in this world."

"You've already done great things."

"Yes, but I want to continue to set the bar higher and do even better things."

"Why can't you just be content?"

"Because that's not who I am."

"What does your cute psychiatrist say about that?"

"Dr. Chang? I haven't really brought this up with her because I don't think she can help me with it. And I'm not sure I want help. I like that I'm not content. It's one of the things that drives me. Why would I want to get rid of that?"

"Then I guess you're going to sell then."

"Only to the right people. Unity is my legacy too so I don't want it to fall into the wrong hands and become another evil soul-sucking corporation. It has the potential to revolutionize entire industries and reshape how history is told. They say the new definition of a billionaire is someone who positively impacts the lives of a billion people."

"So yeah, probably don't sell to the Illuminati then, huh?"
