Livia's POV
I look at myself in the mirror. I think I'm pretty but other people don't think so. I'm skinny but that's because of not eating. I have long blonde hair from my dad. I'm short from my mom. And I have gray eyes from my mom. But I have flaws not many people know about. Not even my brother, Damian.
I grab my backpack and walk downstairs and into the kitchen. My phone buzzes and I get a text from Winter.Winter: Outside. We can't be late.
Me: On my way out. Hold on for like 1 minute.
I put my phone away and grab a banana and head out the door, making sure to lock it after it closes. I see Winter and I walk to the car and get in the passenger seat. She starts the engine and we make out way to school.
"Um, my brother is back in town for school. The break was supposed to make him a better person and I hope it has." She says. I frown. Her brother. Marcus Anderson.
"I doubt he's changed. You know he bullied me." I say. She nods.
We pull into the school parking lot and get out of the car once it's parked. Winter slings her arm around my shoulder as we walk into the school. People look at me and snicker at me. I look at Winter.
"Did I do something? They're all looking at me like I did." I says. She shakes her head and points down the hall. My eyes widen as to who I see. Marcus Anderson.
He spots Winter and starts to walk over. I try to run but Winter grabs my arm and pulls me back. He gets to Winter and hugs her. He looks at me chuckles. I look down. He lifts my chin up with 2 of his fingers. He smiles.
"Miss me?" He says. I shake my head.
"Why? Is it because of what I did to you? Well, I'm a different person so get used to it but I'm only a different person to other people. Not you. I'm going to still make your life miserable." He says and walks away.
I look at Winter and she hugs me. I open my locker and get out some of my books that I need. I close it once I'm done and walk to my class as Winter walks to hers. I get in the classroom and walk to my usual spot up at the front. I'm here early so I don't have to worry anybody coming in just yet.
About 10 minutes later, students start to file in. After everyone is in, I feel someone tap my shoulder. I turn around and see Marcus. I quickly turn back around. He taps my shoulder again and I turn around again.
"Why don't you come back and sit with us?" He says and smiles. I shake my head.
"Come on. It'll be fun. I'm not taking no for an answer." He smirks. I sigh and get up and get my things. I walk over to him in the back. He makes one of his friends move that sit next to him and his friend moves in front of us. I sit down and he sits down next to me.
"Keep rolling your eyes and you'll regret it." He whispers. I move my chair away from him a bit but he moves it back. I look at him. I just realized that a lot of girls would die to be in my position. Cause of his gorgeous brown eyes. His perfect black hair. The way he laughs is adorable. Wait, Livia, shut up! You don't know what you're talking a--
"Checking me out?" He says, interrupting my thoughts.
"No. Never in a million years." I say quickly. He smirks.
"We'll see about tha--"
"Mr. Anderson and Ms. Rodriguez, do you have something to say to all of us?" The teacher, Mr. Miller, interrupts.
"Yes actually. We were talking about how boring this lesson is and how we already know this." He says. My eyes widen and I look down.
"Principal's. Now. Both of you." He points to the door.
We stand up and make our way to the principal's office. It's quiet the whole way there. I know that when I get home, my brother will not be happy. He came from college to visit me.
Marcus grabs my hand and pulls me to the front door of the school.
"Marcus. We can't. We'll get in so much trouble!" I say, trying to get my hand free from his. He stops and opens the doors then pulls me to his car.
"We'll wait for my friends and then we'll ditch school. Got it?" He says. I search his eyes. His eyes darkened than before. It seems to be covered with anger. I've done nothing to him.
*20 minutes later*
"There they are. And my sister?" He says confused. I look to my right and Winter comes over looking furious. I get out of the car and run to her, pulling her into a hug.
"He tried to get you to ditch school. He's stupid but I wanna ditch so you're coming in my car. We're going to a party. You need to let loose sometimes." She says. It's true. I do need to let loose but I'm not going to. I nod and we go to her car.
Marcus quickly runs over to us right before we get in. He smiles at his sister and at me. I never knew he had a smile.
"Hey Mark. We're going to a party tonight. Maybe you could tell mom and dad that we're at the library? Please." He shakes his head.
"I'm going. See you there Win. Bye Liv." He says and leaves. This'll be a long night.
