a/n: woohoo double update :)
I hum a tune to myself, probably something blur related as I place the vinyl records on the shelf at work, I'm in a rather good mood. I pick up a few records and walk further down the racks to place them in the correct order.
I'm humming to myself and smiling, trying to keep this good mood up. Until, suddenly I bump into something, the impact making me fall on my arse. I wince and look up from my lap to be met with the right of a pair of thin, model-like legs. I look further up to see a pair of icy blue eyes, the kind that chill you to the bone just by looking at them, staring down at me.
"I-I'm sorry," I stutter as I realise I'm talking to Avery.
"Oh, sweetie! Are you okay?" She asks, placing her hand on her chest and giving me a look of sympathy.
"Y-yes, I'm f-fine I'm sorry for b-bumping into you," I apologise again.
"Oh let me help you," she says, ignoring my apology. She extends an arm downward to me.
I take her hand and she attempts to pull me up, grunting from the effort, her skinny arms using every muscle inside them. I help her out by pushing myself up off the floor and we both sigh once I'm back on my feet again. I bent down and picked up all of the records, carefully checking them all to see if anything was damaged. Luckily, nothing was.
Avery smiled, "need some help?"
I nodded, smiling back. She took a few records from me and started placing them in order. Avery seemed nice, only now had she talked to me. She must've been shy after all. Her voice was high pitched and, what some would call, 'girly' and there was the slightest hint of an American accent in her voice.
As I was placing the records, I heard the bell on the door ring, signalling that someone has entered the store. I quickly placed the records in their places and looked over to see someone looking at the guitars hung up at the other side of the store. The person looked to be a man.
I walked over to the man in curiosity, he looked familiar...he looked as if he was Damon, but his hair was different. He didn't have a bowl-cut, it was cut shorter and slightly messy, but it was the same shade of sandy brown.
"Excuse me, sir, can I help you with anything?" I ask the man.
"I'm looking for my friend," the man says, turning around and smiling.
"Damon!" I exclaim in delight, practically jumping onto him, hugging him.
It'd been a few weeks since I last saw him, and to be honest I've missed him. He laughs and wraps his arms around my waist hugging me back. I giggle and pull away, keeping my arms around his neck.
"You changed your hair!" I laugh, taking a hand up to his hair and ruffling it.
"Do you like it, love?" He smirks.
"Yep," I smile.
"How've you been?" He asks, his hands remain in my waist and mine around his neck.
"I've been good, and you?"
"Good. I've uh...missed you," he says shyly.
I blush, "I've missed you too."
He grins and our eyes lock, we smile at each other and my face heats up. Damon smiles and our faces grow closer and closer. Oh God, are we going to kiss? I think to myself, panicking slightly, shit, shit, shit, we're so close.
"Ooh is this your boyfriend?" Avery asks, making me and Damon jump.
We quickly move our faces apart and remove our hands from each other, trying to look as casual as possible. Avery stands with her arms folded, one of her long legs bent at the knee, making the opposite hip stick out and highlight her model figure.
