The Common Room

Your POV
After the sorting all the first years were escorted to their respective common rooms by their respective prefects. We were given the password and we all went on into the room. Hermione, Ron, Harry, and I walked into the room and we sat on the couch by the fireplace. Almost as if on cue, a seventh year boy and girl came up to us and took us up to our dorms. I looked at the clock in my dorm and it read 9:47pm so I changed into pajamas and went downstairs to study with Hermione. I also share my dorm with Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender. I really don't like Lavender, she talks to much... Once Hermione and I were got downstairs we studied with Harry and Ron. Once the prefects went upstairs we all decided to do the same. Hermione and I went upstairs and when we got there Lavender and Parvati were laughing their asses off at something so Hermione and I joined the conversation. Parvati was SUPER nice, but Lavender wasn't so keen on sharing a room with us at the moment because of us being friends with her crush, Ron, and Parvati's crush, Harry. After Lavender cussed us out Hermione and I went the our half of the dorm, closed the divider, and went to bed. The next morning, all the 1st years were called downstairs by the prefects to take us to the Great Hall for breakfast and then we would be escorted to our first class by the corresponding professor. Hermione and I sat by Ron and Harry, as usual, and discussed our schedule. We just happened to have Care of Magical Creatures with the Slytherins. Hagrid had his favorites, myself and my friends, and his least favorites, Malfoy's group, but he still loved ALL of his students even if SOME OF THEM ARE ABSOLUTE ASSHOLES! Sorry...
TIME SKIP
After Care of Magical Creatures I had a free period so I went to the black lake to read. Malfoy showed up maybe 15 minutes after I got there and started messing with me. "The only reason that the teachers like you is because 'You-Know-Who' killed your parents." Malfoy said in a snobby tone. "If you and Harry didn't have those RIDICULOUS scars on you, you'd be NOTHING to the wizarding community. I, on the other hand, have a pureblood lineage and no AWFUL mud-blood friends like YOU!" I quickly responded by saying "First off, Malfoy, I don't give a crap if your a pureblood or a muggleborn, if your an piece of crap person then you're a piece of crap person. That's it. Plus I'm not a 'mud-blood' I'm a HALFBLOOD. Sorry that You-Know-Who killed my parents and left me with a scar on my hand, but I won't take teasing from you or ANYONE else. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go inside and get you out of my face. Understand?" I said with attitude in my tone. "Nice answer, I'm liking you more and more.", said Malfoy flirtatiously. I shuddered in disgust as I walked back to the castle disgusted with the human that was out on the river. Once I made my way back to the Common Room I was on the verge of tears after the argument with Malfoy. I began thinking about the things he said about my friends and about me. Harry saw me in the corner and approached me. "Hey Piper, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Harry said with sadness in his voice, he was always upset when you were upset. "Malfoy." Was the only word I could get out of my mouth through my tears. Harry's face lit up with rage. You could see the fire in his eyes after the word that I just spoke. He then calmed down and said "Just calm down and tell me what happened." I was calmed by his presence and I then explained what happened to him without another tear. Harry was not happy, but he hid it by his apologetic face and his calming presence as he wrapped and arm around me and pulled me to his chest. "Don't worry about it, everything is going to be alright. You have nothing to worry about. Just stay here with me until next class." Harry said with caring behind his protective tone and nature. We just sat in the corner of the common room with each other until next class.
TIME SKIP
It's the end of the day and I'm in the common room with Harry, Hermione, and Ron. We're just sitting on the couch in front of the fire. We end up talking about how much we HATE Malfoy and how much he's a butt to us. Harry actually pulled me aside and said "I hope you know that I care about you more than you know. I never want to see you hurting and I sure as heck don't want to see you crying. You're the nicest person I know and you're cute to add on to it. I just wanted you to know that I care about you." I was a blushing mess the entire time until I spoke up and said " I care about you too and I never want you to be hurt or be sad at any point in your life because you're the nicest and sweetest person I've ever met. I hope you know how much you mean to me." We just pulled each other into a hug and I leaned my head against his chest and we went back to our friends on the couch with his arm around me.
