Dumbledore's Talk

After class, Harry and I were called to the Headmaster's office to have a talk with Dumbledore. McGonagall escorted us to the gargoyle and said the password "Chocolate Frogs" and a staircase was revealed. Harry and I, hand in hand, were walking up the staircase and McGonagall was in front of us. Once we were at the top of the spiral staircase, McGonagall knocked on the door and Professor Dumbledore answered and invited us in. Harry and I were worried about Dumbledore wanted to talk to us about. As soon as he opened the
door Harry and I let go of each other's hands. Dumbledore looked at us with sympathy in his eyes and he gave us a worried smile. He dismissed McGonagall and turned to us again. "I'm assuming you both know what happened to your parents and why you reside with muggle families?" Harry and I both shook our head 'no' and Dumbledore gave us another smile. "You both are very special individuals with very sad pasts. I'm going to start off with Harry. Your parents, James and Lily Potter, were outstanding witches and wizards. Them along with Piper's and Neville's parents were members of the Order of the Phoenix. This group was formed to fight off Voldemort and his Death-eaters. Your parents in particular, Harry, were VERY powerful and had you on the day that I heard the prophecy. 3 children were born at the end of July, Neville,
Harry, and Piper. Neville's birthday being the 30th, Harry being the 31st, and Piper also being the 31st. Voldemort came after the 2 children that were born at the end of July as the prophecy foretold that a child born at the end of the 7th month would kill him in the final battle. So as both of you know, you have lightning shaped scars on your body. Harry's being his forehead and Piper's being her hand. In the process of attempting to kill you both, he killed both of your parents, Harry, with the Avada Kedava curse. Now, Piper, I know you also want to know what happened to your parents. The night that Voldemort came after you, Voldemort tried to spare your mother as a certain Death-eater requested, but ended up killing her when she wouldn't give you up. That night he also hit you with the Avada Kedava curse and it rebounded and left a scar on your body. You both don't know this, but you both were in the same room when Voldemort attacked. Your fathers, James and Ethan, were guarding the downstairs because they saw a Death-Eater outside. Voldemort apparated into the house and killed them as they were running up the stairs to warn their wives. James and Ethan's last words were "Protect the children!" Your mothers, Lily and Alexa, heard this and told you both how much they love you both and how much they cared about you. Voldemort didn't want to kill either of your mothers. Alexa started a duel with Voldemort using the Septum-Sentra curse as Voldemort used the Avada Kedava curse on Lily. Then as the duel broke, Alexa used the Expelliarmus spell and disarmed Voldemort, but the wand had a possession to Voldemort and rebounded a curse on Alexa. Remus Lupin ran into the building and into the room right after Alexa was killed and Voldemort apparated away. Remus saw both women's bodies on the ground and immediately called Sirius and me to the scene. Remus offered to take both of you in as his own, but I wouldn't let him. Harry still had family, but we put you, Piper, in a muggle orphanage. Remus HATED the idea of you being in an orphanage when he could care for you himself, but he accepted it. Now you are where you are now.", said Dumbledore as he finished off the story. Harry and I had tears seeping down our face, but we didn't dare make a sound. Dumbledore pulled us in for a hug and he told us "I can get you, Piper, out of the muggle household to live with a wizarding family if you'd like." I was just so excited I smiled and shook my head 'yes'. Dumbledore then asked how our home-lives were with the muggles. I went first "Everything bad started when I was around 5 years old. My family and I went to the zoo and my 'sister' and I went to the wolf enclosure. When I touched the glass I phased myself and my 'sister' through the glass and I had no idea what had happened. I got us out by phasing back through the glass, but my 'sister' told her parents what had happened and I got punched by her, my 'brother', 'mom', and my 'dad' slapped me as hard as he can until I said I was sorry multiple times and I had to explain my side of the story and he thought I was lying and-" I then started crying again because of the physical and verbal abuse my muggle family caused me. Harry pulled me to his chest and he rubbed my back and he said "Everything's okay now, you're away from them and away from the pain that they caused." That really calmed me down and I just sat there in silence thinking about how much I wanted them to rot in hell after what they put me through. Professor Dumbledore saw the sadness in my eyes and he comforted me by saying "How would you like it if instead of you going to a new Wizarding family, I let the Weasleys adopt you?" My eyes lit up and I looked over at Harry and I looked back at Dumbledore and said "OH MY GOSH! That'd be AWESOME!!!" He then called Ron, Fred, George, and Percy up to his office. When they got there Ron saw that Harry and I were here and I sat next to us. Dumbledore gave the announcement and Ron immediately got up and hugged me and said "WE HAVE TO OWL MUM RIGHT NOW!" The twins and Percy agreed and they hugged me as well.

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! I wanted to use this as a backstory for Piper and Harry since it's an AU. I'm trying to stick to the original storyline as much as possible but still add my own twists. This was a HUGE twist that's REALLY important to the storyline.
