• All members must complete the tasks assigned to them within the time allocated or will receive a point. Once you receive 3 points, you will be removed from the club and cannot reapply. You will be notified once you receive a point. Points can be deducted by carrying out certain tasks such as taking part in events held by the club. Points are not beneficial towards you.
• Rude or inconsiderate comments on fellow readers' works or even to other members is prohibited, and you will automatically be put on probation, and depending on the severity of the comment, you will either be removed from the Metis Book Club, receive a certain amount of points or be temporarily banned. You may also be blocked or reported.
• Please complete the application form fully.
• Please provide useful feedback towards your peers, accompanying your reasons with valid justifications. In addition, please include constructive criticism, so the novelist can learn how to improve their work. Also, please make sure that the paragraph is of a good length (3+ sentences). And tag your admin at the end so your comment can be verified and hashtag #Metis at the beginning of the comment.
A bad example would be: I love your book, it's amazing!
A good example would be: #Metis I love the way you have developed the protagonist throughout the chapter by adding in the thoughts of the main character, even though you wrote in third person: it made the book much more interesting. However, I noticed some spelling mistakes, for example, you spelled "homicide" as "homocide" but that can be easily fixed. Other than that, well done! @cepheuses
• For your book to be eligible to enter, your novel must have at least two chapters (excluding preludes, character aesthetics, author's notes or any form of non-chapter part), and at least two chapters must be published.
• We accept mature works, but please, no restricted chapters (e.g. chapters that are private).
