Why can't I be
Beautiful
Brilliant
And bold?
Why do I have to pour myself over each school assignment?
For a single letter?
Oh right
I don't want to struggle
Like my mother, my brothers and sisters
I want an easier life
Or rather a life with different stresses
Different expectations
Still trying to be better
Bolder
Smarter
Prettier
To a different someone or some ones each time
When will I want to be
beautiful,
Intelligent,
And gorgeous
For myself instead of for someone else?
Why is beauty in the eye of the beholder?
