Can I ask

To be the one to help you through

The test of life

Let me be your rock

Your boat that keeps you a float

Sailing you through the trecherous waters and waves

That threaten to send you over board into the dark waters

Can I be the shoulder you cry on

My hand be the one to wipe your tears

My face be that of which brightens your day

For you to do the same as well

Be my shelter from roaring tornado winds

That tug and pull me in an attempt to raise me into the sky

but drop me hard to the ground below

For no ones enjoyment but their own

Can you hold my head high when my neck grows weak

Take the walls that hold me back

And turn them to dust

For me to step on as I pass

Hand me a smile when a frown plagues my face

Just because you care

Perhaps this is too much too seek from one person

How unfortunate would I be for you to say a simple two letters

Rather than my answer to you
