'So this is all yours Amelie?
'Ours dear sister.' She laughs, its as light as a hummingbirds.
'No Amelie, this is all yours a young child you have nurtured and grown into something you should be unquestionably proud of.'
'This may be my town, I may be the founder but my dear girl everything i have is yours too; this is home...this is the safe haven.
'As refuge from rough seas, the fearsome fray, Safe here, she on her journey new embarks. How oft when storms rage 'round tormented souls, To daybreak they're led on past rocks and shoals! Another life begins: new place, new roles; She'll wait on tables, even for her foes...' I sing softly.
'To live and comfort strangers, these her goals; New friends she finds who'll help to heal her woes. ' Amelie finishes softly.
I see a sparkle of tears in her eyes, the same can be said for me; I am taken back to a different time...a human time. Our nanny used to sing it, just before bed every night...
'You remember it.' I say, it isnt a question.
'How i could i forget?'

'Your palace is so very grand dear sister, I for one have not lived in this kind of luxury for many a year; the modern world prefer many a homes in a vast place such as this but this...it's worthy of you.'
'You are worthy of it my one, unless you wish for one of your own?' She asks, her brow creasing.
'I beg not sister, i fear I will not leave your side for the longest of time.'
She smiles broadly, showing her perfect teeth. 'I hoped that would be the case my darling, as i fear I may not be able to let you go again.'
'I do not plan to go, for at great last I am home and safe.'
'That you are my beautiful sister, that you are.'

I wake with a somewhat warmth spreading through me; its that of happiness. I open my eyes and the room is dim, but i feel the sun bright in the sky. The room of mine is grand, a huge four poster bed better fitted to turn of the century grandeur than twenty-first century America. Three huge windows draped with an array of fabrics and currently swathed in the thickest of curtains. The woods are dark, ornately decorated with carvings of flowers and swirls and all those intricate details that show expense and glamour- even down to the legs of the dresser are relics of the time of my youth, when one would pay a carpenter to create a masterpiece... I stand from the bed with the kitten soft sheets, and smirk at my reflection in the mirror; i am dressed in a floor length satin nightgown- such an abstract difference to the newer, more modern day version of me.
I hear a gentle knock at the door; and open it with as much grace as I can muster.
'Yes?' I ask, the severe looking vampire.
'Ma'am.' He says bowing low, careful of the clothing bag he holds in his arms; i bow my head in acknowledgement, it feels such a foreign gesture.
'Your sister asked if this is appropriate till you acquire some more of your own clothing.'
'Oh right, thank you.' I smile, he merely bows and passes me the bag before leaving.
I close the door and hand the bag from the handle of my closet. I unzip the bag and find that i can't help but smirk; inside is a high-waist pencil skirt and a black on white shirt that is decorated in such an expensive way, embellished to the point of jewelled; there are even a pair of white heeled pumps to match, with little black straps for round my ankles. The tags are french, boutique and with price tags that are pretty spectacular in themselves. That's what I think is different about me and Amelie; she still lives in this luxury whereas i could have...i had the money but I would always of been an outcast in the human world so instead i came to love their fashions, and their natures.
