Glaceys pov.
I couldn't go back in the house. I just couldn't make myself live in the same place as those two. I sighed and waited for Dally to walk out side. And it wasn't long when he did. "You okay doll?", he asked. I shook my head. "Can I crash at your place for a few days?", I asked. "I'm sorry babe, any other time I would say hell yeah but I don't think ya really need to be at bucks. That'll probably only make things worse. ", he said. I nodded knowing he was right. Then right on time Steve walk over from across the street. "Hey Steve!", I smiled. "Hey kiddo.", he smiled. "Um look, me and my brothers got into it tonight. Can I stay at your place for a few days?", I asked giving him his best puppy dog look. "Sure.", he nodded. "Thank you so much!", I smiled and hugged him. "Go on over. I'll be there in a bit. ", he said and I nodded and hugged Dally goodnight and then made my way over to Steve's.
Soda's pov.
I paced back and fourth. Darry sat in his chair thinking. Then Steve walked in. "Hey what happened with the sis?", he asked. "Why?", I growled. "She asked could she stay at my place, since y'all got into it tonight. ", he said. "She's what!?", Darry spat! "Hey look here...", Steve growled at Darry's temper. "I'd rather have her with him than Dally.", I reminded Darry. He nodded and kept him self quiet. "Huh", Steve asked clearly confused. "Her and Dally have been seeing each other. ", I said. "Oh is that all?", Steve asked. Now it was my turn to be confused. "Huh?" "Is that what has caused all this? Her and Dally. Shoot I saw that coming from a mile away. Dally ain't gone hurt her! ", Steve said. Darry and I both stared at him. "Have you met Dallas Winston!?", Darry gasped. "Actually yeah I have, have you met Glacey Curtis! She's the baddest broad in Tulsa!", he countered. "What?", I asked. "Glaceys the only girl that will stand toe to toe with Dally. If any broad is gonna keep him straight it's her. ", Steve continued. "Steve why the hell do you think they could work, and that he won't hurt her?", Darry asked. "Because she damaged.", someone said. We all turned and saw Pony standing in our bedroom doorway. "How is she damaged?", I asked. "When mom and dad died. We can all agree it hurt her the most. She's a girl. She had no mama to teach her anything. ", he said. "But how does that make her damaged?", I asked. "We were all hurt.", Darry added. "Yeah. But she's damaged because she still struggles with it. She always will. ", pony said. "That would explain why she said what she did.", Darry said. "Pony even if she is as you say, what does that have to do with her and Dally?", Darry asked. "They have something in common. Damaged people are the most dangerous. They know how to survive."
