24. The Secret Weapon

Me: Before we begin, I was given a question by Sadie1117 and I would like to answer it.

Question:
Are you going to write about Toneri Ōtsutsuki?

Me: I was actually talking to a friend about this and we had a pretty long discuss about it and I decided that yes. I am going to write about Toneri as well, and just like the movie he will take Hinata and of course he'll take Ruka as well but the reasoning behind it is a secret for now. So without further ado, please enjoy the chapter!

"Look at this Naruto Uzumaki" Obito said, breaking the silence that had occurred after the deaths at Headquarters "you've let some comrades die...what will you do?!"

Naruto clenched his hands tightly into fist and glared up at Obito angrily, his eyes flashing red momentarily, as the Uchiha stared down at the angered teen with such hatred and murderous intent it was almost scary. I frowned deeply and turned away from him to see my mother talking with my father and Ryuku comforting a sobbing Ino.

"This could be over easily" Yuki added sweetly, stepping forward as everyone quickly stepped back in fear "I'll stop my attacks against everyone and leave you all alone...I only ask for three simple things."

Everyone hesitated slightly and exchanged looks with one another as Naruto continued to remain silent and stare at Yuki; waiting to hear what she had to say. Yuki raised her finger and scanned her eyes around the battlefield, the rain being her eyes of course, and finally found what she was looking for.

"I want" she said softly "you..."

She pointed at Ruu who frowned angrily.

"...you..."

She pointed at Ryuku who tightened his grip on his Kunai.

"...and most definitely you."

She pointed at me last and everyone gasped in surprise before turning towards us as Naruto continued to remain silent and worry filled up inside of me. I knew from the bottom of my heart that no one here would ever do such a thing, no one would just give me and my family up to Yuki like that.

"Maybe we should just give them up!!" Someone exclaimed hysterically as everyone turned towards him "it's just three lives compared to thousands!!!"

There was a small murmur throughout the crowd and my eyes widened in fear as I heard a few people agree to the man's outburst. Was this really happening to us; were people actually considering something so horrible? Tears began to drip down my cheeks and I remained ever so silent as Naruto still continued to hold his own silence.

"No."

Everyone looked up confused and stared at Naruto who had finally spoken after Headquarters was destroyed. Naruto walked over to me and knelt down carefully before wiping away my tears and smiling softly at me. I continued crying and leaned against him for support as he gently calmed me down then stood back up.

"We're all comrades" Naruto declared to the group "we may argue, we may fight, we may hate one another sometimes but at the end of the day we're not just comrades...we're friends. Ruka has been with me through some of the toughest times of my life and she means the world to me. If you want to kill anyone I'd rather it be me."

Everyone murmured slightly and remained silent as some people looked down shamefully and others looked at Naruto in admiration.

"He's right!!" Kiba declared, addressing Yuki and the two Uchiha's "Ruka is one of our own and she sticks with us no matter what!!!"
