I know you're probably getting bored and you want me to get straight to the point but I can't. Everything that has happened leading up to when I met D and when everything went down is important so hold your damn horses. I guess I'll start to the day when we both noticed each other.

A few weeks after school started

As I sat in my room doing my homework I felt my phone buzz.

LizBiz👯: Hey what you doing

Me: Nothin' just finishing some hw, why?

Lizbiz👯: oh good, im outside lmao 💀

I laugh and then lock my phone and run downstairs to open the door for Elizabeth.

"What you doing?" I hear mom say from the living room

"I'm getting the door for Liz, she's outside"

"I don't remember her asking or you asking if she could come over" I look at my mom and give her a frowny face

"You for real right now ma? It's Liz" I say with a chuckle

"Ask next time before you have anybody over here lil girl" She says as she turns her head back to the TV. I swear my mom stay on some weird shit. I walk to the door and open it.

"Hey girl" Liz says as she walks in the door, "Hi Mrs.Dalgato" my mom turns around

"Hello Elizabeth" she says with a wave.

"She on one today girl, just come upstairs" I walk up the stairs and go to my room. I put away my school stuff and turn on my TV.

"Wassup, why did you come over" I say to Liz curiously

"Well you remember when I was talking about getting in a relationship a few weeks ago"

"Liz I thought I told you I don't want to be messing with any boys right now, I am really trying to focus on my school work."

"Nooo listen to me Mar, so I was talking to Taylor and Mykaiya-"

"Ok no, you can stop right there, you know I don't fuck with them bitches" I say sternly

"No Maria listen. They were telling me about how the guys that moved in down the street from you are throwing a party, but its like real exclusive and I think we should go down there and talk to them and see if we can get in" She explains to me

"I don't see what this has to do with getting in a relationship, it sounds like you want us to thot our way into this party like we are Thing 1 and Thing 2" I say referring to Taylor and Mykaiya

"No Maria, this single shit is getting old, and you know that I don't like doing stuff without you with me. You're my best friend and we in this together. I really think that we should at least start looking and trying to talk to some guys"

"I do talk to guys. Zeus and Jalen"

"You know good and well they don't count. Even though we all know that Zeus is madly in lov-"

"Wait what" I cut her off and her eyes get wide

"uhhh nothing, lets just go over there and talk to them and see what they are like at least." I look at her with a straight face

"Girl stop being scared and lets go"

"Elizabeth Williams you know damn well I ain't never scared!" I say standing up

"Ok then Maria Dalgato, get your ass off this bed and lets go talk to them fine ass niggas down the street!" She says standing up

As we both walk toward my room door we look at each other and realize we look a hot mess.
