A/N : Jalen in the mm
In the car with Zeus
"So can I ask you something?", Zeus says with his eyes on the road.
"You just did", I say back as I bust out laughing. I swear I'm the funniest person I know. I stop laughing though because Zeus shot daggers at me with his eyes. "haha... yes you can ask me anything.... sir Zeus" I bust out laughing again.
"You know you aren't that funny" Zeus says back with a straight face. "I wanted to ask you something serious but I don't think you're ready" I fold my arms and pout. "Whats that supposed to mean jerk face," he chuckles. "It means that you're not ready for my serious question" We finally pull up to my house. "But when I know you're ready to hear my question, I promise that I'll ask again"
Sometimes Zeus can be a real weirdo. "Yea... ok. I'll see you tomorrow Z" I wave goodbye as I hop out the car and walk into the house. I walk in and it sound like literally no one was home.
"MAAAAAAA," no response, "DAAAAAAD" dead silence. "MARCOOOO" nada. No one home, fine by me, I thought. I opened snapchat and posted on my private story open crib. Lets see if anyone comes through.
10 minutes later
I hear knocking on my door. I run downstairs to see who it is. I slowly open the door confused. It's Delwan.
"umm hi." I say nervously. He chuckles.
"Why you acting all nervous you just saw me like a hour ago" he says.
"Well I just wasn't expecting you to actually show up. Also how did you know which house was mine." I said looking outside to see if he was with anyone else.
"Shawty I got connections I know everybody. Now are you going to let me in or you gonna let me die of heat stroke out here?" I laughed a little and then let him come inside. I nervously stood there trying to figure out what to say.
"So umm... how was your day... mines was good... its only the first week and the classes are getting a little crazy... haha.." I stuttered over my words trying to figure out how to spark a conversation with him. He walks over to the couch and sits down.
"Nigga are you having a stroke over there, " he says "come sit yo weird self down" I laughed and made my way over to the couch across from him.
"So did you need something?" I say as I cock my head to the right. He looked at me with a straight face. "You acting like Dory" he says to me as he makes his self comfortable on my couch. "I'm acting like who?" I say as I bust out laughing.
"You know like the fish from Finding Nemo... Dory. The one with short term memory loss" he says with a "duh" like tone. When I figured out what he was talking about I couldn't stop laughing. I found myself letting that nervousness slip away and I was able to talk to him like I've known him forever. This nigga is fine as hell and nice as hell... must be a trap, I thought to myself
We sat on my couch for like 30 minutes just talking when I heard several knocks on my door and the doorbell ringing. "Man who the fuck banging on my door like that" I mumbled. I got up to open the door and see my 3 best friends standing there with snacks and movies.
"Did say someone say OPEN CRIB" Jalen yells as he walks into my home. Zeus and Liz walk in after looking like they had had enough of Jalen.
"I can't believe I was in the car with that imbecile for less than 20 minutes. It felt like YEARS." Liz says as she walks into the house. Liz, Zeus, and Jalen all stop in their tracks when they see Delwan on the couch. He stands up.
"Wassup, I'm Delwan. I just moved in down the street." Silence. Liz was the first one to say anything. "I'm Elizabeth, I was with Maria when we introduced ourselves the other day." I look at Zeus and Jalen. Silence.
"Yea I remember you," he says with a smile, "you coming to the party tomorrow with Maria right?" she nods. Not a word has come out of boys mouths. I nudge Jalen to say something.
"I'm Jalen, this is Zeus. Are you staying for movie night, because I don't think I brought enough popcorn for 5 people" I slap my forehead in embarrassment.
"Nah I was just leaving. Thank you though." I watch him as he walks to the door. I follow him. "I'm so sorry about that. I didn't realize they were coming over" I say as I feel my cheeks getting hot.
"You're fine" he laughs, "But am I ever gonna get your number" I giggle and grab his phone and put my name in it and send myself a message so I can save his number in my phone.
"Thank you lil bit. I'll see you tomorrow night right?"
"Yup." I blushed
"Alright well I'll see you then."
I watch him walking back to his house as I feel someone breathing on my shoulder.
"What the hell?!" I say as I look up and see Jalen hovering over me
"Are we invited to the party too" Jalen asks
"nigga get off my back damn!" I yell at and laugh, "creepy ass nigga."
"So is that a yes?!" he yells from the door.
I sit down next to Zeus and he puts his arm around me.
"What was that about?" he questions
"I was just getting to know the new kid. You know you could've said something instead of standing there looking like The Incredible Hulk" I say as I grab the popcorn away from him.
"Yea well I didn't. He seems like a nice kid though" he says.
"yup" I reply back nonchalantly not feeling like getting into a argument with him. I look up at him with a smile and then back at the movie.
Ummm HI! Looooooool so its been like 2 years since i've updated this book. I went back and read it and was sick asf when I noticed that the author didn't update and then realized that was me! So I hope you guys enjoyed. I promise I won't take 90 years to update anymore
