Marla looked down and smiled when Sophia began to snuggle into her chest, yawning and rubbing at her little eyes with her fists. It was late into the evening and most everyone was scattered about in Hoechlin's living room, fast asleep. The only people still awake were her and Posey, who was in the kitchen getting a bottle of water for the two of them.
"Someone's finally getting sleepy, huh?" She whispered, grabbing a blanket off the back of the sofa and draping it around her daughter and herself.
Sophia hummed and curled herself around her mother, her cheek pressed against her shoulder as she fought to keep her eyes open. "Mhmm."
Marla chuckled softly and adjusted the little girl so she could gently brush her fingers through her long, blonde hair, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. "Go to sleep, angel."
"But the movie isn't over.." The small blonde whined, but let her eyes fall to a close.
"We can watch the rest tomorrow, okay? I promise." Marla whispered, gently rocking the little girl in her arms.
Sophia let out another small yawn before nodding her head and pressing her face into the crook of her mother's neck. "Okay."
"I love you, angel. Sleep tight." Marla said softly as her daughter began to drift off.
"Mm, love you, mama." The little girl hummed before she fell asleep against her mother's shoulder.
Posey walked back into the living room with two bottles of water in his hands, smiling when he saw Marla tucking the blanket tighter around her daughter.
"She asleep?" He murmured quietly, setting both bottles of water on the coffee table and taking a seat beside her.
"Yeah. Finally." Marla whispered, gently running her hands through her daughter's hair as she slept soundly against her. "It was sweet of Hoechlin to let us all crash here tonight. Do you guys do this often?"
"Oh, all the time. Cast sleepovers are kind of our thing." Posey shrugged, glancing at the television as Tangled continued to play across the screen. "I'm really glad you're able to be a part of this. You're a lot of fun to work with, you know." He smiled at the brunette, small crinkles appearing under his eyes and making her heart soar.
"I can say the same about you." Marla grinned back, tipping her head to the side. "I've said it a million times, but thank you."
Posey raised his eyebrows. "What for?"
"Just for making me feel so welcome. Like I'm right at home." Marla shrugged.
The male smiled, draping his arm around her and pulling her close. "You are home, Marley."
The brunette smiled, shifting slightly so she could sink into his side and so Sophia was sandwiched between them.
Tyler pressed a kiss to Sophia's head, and then Marla's forehead as she slowly drifted off against him. He smiled, closing his own eyes.
"Goodnight, Marley."
