"Aish!" Jenifer scowled. "Why is she walking so fast? Where is she heading off to that she wants to be on time?"
She ran down the hall to try and catch up with her best friend.
"Tiffany!" Jenifer shouted. "Yah! Answer me Tiffany! I know you hear me!"
She ran even faster, now, that she knew Tiffany was ignoring her.
"Tiffany!" Jenifer called. "When I catch you, I'm gonna stuff you with sugar, mix you in a bowl of flour, soften you up, blend you up, and serve you to the principal, and when he says, "Hmm! this is delicious, what's the recipe?" I'm gonna say-."
Jenifer felt a hand on her shoulder, and saw it was Tiffany. She opened her mouth to speak; "So...I was chasing the wrong person, the whole time? Well, I feel stupid."
"You should!" Tiffany giggled.
Tiffany's Point of View
"Tiffany!" Jenifer shouted. "Yesss!" Tiffany shouted back. She was running behind Jenifer, out of breath.
"I'm right behind you! Turn aro-" She was interrupted by Jenifer's yelling, again.
Yah! Answer me Tiffany! I know you hear me!"
Jenifer finally stopped, put her hands on her hips. This gave Tiffany the opportunity to catch up to Jenifer.
She put her hand on her shoulder. Jenifer turned around, and blushed.
"So...I was chasing the wrong person, the whole time? Well, I feel stupid." Jenifer said, breaking the silence of the two.
"You should!" Tiffany added, giggling.
Jenifer's Point of View
"Well, thanks!" Jenifer shouted. "Than who was I chasing?"
Tiffany giggled once more. "That was Lee Chan. We have to same black hair, not the same personality, and she definitely does not have these bomb looks."
She flipped her hair in demonstration. Jenifer and Tiffany just spent a moment giggling.
But before Jenifer could add anything, the bell rang, indicating that they were late...not only late...but late to Mrs. Marsden's class...
(A/N- If anyone reading this had Mrs. King, or read the book Lyddie, then you know what I mean.)
And they weren't just late to Mrs. Marsden's class, but they were also late to the strictest class there was in High School; Honors Italian.
They ran down the hallway, trying to get to class. "We're screwed!" Tiffany yelled. "I know!" Jenifer yelled back.
When the pulled up to the classroom, they heard Mrs. Marsden's annoying voice.
Her back was to the children so this was their chance to slip in, unnoticed.
"Tiffany and Jenifer," Mrs. Marsden shouted. The two teenagers froze and turned to her back.
"Is there a reason why you two are late? This is the second time ladies, and I won't tolerate lateness!"
Jenifer stepped up and smiled. "I completely understand where you are coming from ma'am. I am sorry for coming in late due my sudden stomach cramps I have had these past few hours in this lovely day we are having. I apologize for our tardiness, and I ask that you would forgive us and allow me to say, that, this will never happen again. You have my word."
Mrs. Marsden glared at the two girls. "Very well then," She added. "Take a seat, and make sure that this never happens again. Oh, and Jenifer! I changed your seat next to Jackson."
"Jackson!" Jenifer yelled. "Mrs. Marsden! I appreciate your kindness towards Tiffany and I, but please, may I be seated somewhere else!?"
Mrs. Marsden looked at Jenifer, and shook her head. "It's either you sit next to Jackson, or you get detention for being late."
Jenifer put on a sad face and sat to the seat next to Jackson. "You're going to enjoy this!" Jackson said.
"Ughh," Jenifer moaned. "This school year isn't what I had hoped it would be."
