Nenek Kebayan.

While practicing dancing steps, I scold a boy & everyone was quiet, no voice, no movement, and then Ian said this
Ian (serious): Teacher Helen, teacher tak boleh tu marah selalu, sebab kalau teacher marah selalu nanti teacher cepat jadi tua tu.
*Im wordless for a while & quietly sighs, but before I can reply him, Dhaniah said..
Dhaniah(mischievous & smiling): Haaaa, kalau teacher jadi tua, teacher jadi tua macam nenek kebayanlah tu (she was giggle)
Me(biting my lips, hiding my smile): mmmm.. ada-ada sajalah kamu. Start again the first step..
*But guys remember, jangan selalu marah-marah, nanti cepat tua Ian said....

Adik sleeping lah, teacher...

Today, some children still crying, parents (some) still reluctant to leave their children at the school. In pre-kindergarten class, one boy was crying for sometime & when its break time, the teacher have to bring the children to toilet, so they asked me if its okay to leave the boy with me in my class and I said okay, and guys, when I hold the boy hands, suddenly he hugs me tightly, and kept crying. So while Im hugging and rubs softly his back, I asked my class;

Me (mischievous): Children, what should we do to this adik? (The children gave me lots of ideas, but a boy said to me..)
Nuradi (thoughtful): Teacher, mari kita nyanyikan tu adik supaya dia tak nangis. (and some of the children agreed with him, so I asked them to start singing and guys they chose a song, twinkle-twinkle little star & after singing the song twice, the crying was stop, only soft hiccups & I felt that the boy became heavier than before.. that when a girl said to me..
Yasmin (serious with small voice): Teacher, adik tidur sudah. (And the children start talking to each other about the boy & while I try to lay the sleeping boy on my lap, suddenly I heard)
Hana (serious & whispering): Friends, jangan bising, jangan cakap kuat-kuat, nanti tu adik bangun. Nanti dia nangis lagi.

Me *sigh* cute children, but guys, for a while they really quiet. And when they want to talk to their friends they were whispering. Sweet kan....

Bunyi ayam 'kok, kok, kok'...

It was Bahasa Malaysia period and I was teaching the children about Vocal A, I was asking some of them (especially those children from pre-K class) if they still remember what their Pre-k teacher taught them about the sound of vocal A.

Me (pointing to letter A with a picture of a chicken): Children, huruf vokal A, bunyinya apa?
Senica (unexpectedly & serious): Teacher, Kok kok kok..
Me (surprise, wondering): Senica, apa tu?
Senica: Bunyi ayam teacher, huruf A  ayam..
Me(felt funny but I bite my lip to control myself from laughing, then after a while I said: okay, children huruf  vocal a bunyinya aahh, bukan kok, kok, kok..
Senica(blushing): Teacher ni..
Oh dear , cute nya *sigh*, bunyi vocal A ialah kok, kok, kok.

Kawan bercewek-cewek, teacher

Anak-anak sibuk dengan kerja mereka & saya cuba habiskan pentaksiran, bila ada girl datang pada saya;
Aleya (serious): Teacher Helen, kami rasakan Haziq dengan Dhaniah bercewek-cewek tau.
Saya (surprise & rasa funny): Apa Aleya, Haziq dengan Dhaniah bercewek-cewek, betulkah?
*Satu kelas cakap(serious): Ya, teacher, mereka bercewek-cewek tu.
Saya(ketap bibir, tahan ketawa): Oh yakah, macam mana kamu semua tahu?
Aleya (serious): Sebabnya, Haziq cakap sama Dhaniah begini, Dhaniah mari sini, abang tolong ya  dan lepas tu mereka selalu ketawa dua-dua.
Salmido (diam berfikir & kata): Memang pun, teacher.
Saya(rasa lucu tapi tahan ketawa saya  & gunakan teacher face ) : Oh, yakah, Haziq, Dhaniah, betulkah kamu bercewek-cewek. Kalau begini mahu ni beritahu sama ayah dan ibu ni, kamu dua bercewek-cewek kah?.
*Dhaniah, tidak bersuara tapi balik- balik geleng kepala, tapi Haziq kata;
Haziq(serious): Teacher, saya tidak bercewek dengan Dhaniah, saya ketawa-ketawa ja, betul teacher.
Me (masih dalam acting mode): Betul arh Haziq & Dhaniah, okay, children, do your work
Tiba-tiba Haziq mengeluh.
