SIXTEEN

After Elena lost her head, she ran to her bedroom.

Her mom ran in after her.

Me and grandma sat in a awkward silence.

Until she said "Alexa how about you take a walk for a bit, I'll call your cell when dinner is ready"

I didn't feel like arguing so I grabbed my phone, stuffed it in my back pant pocket and left the house.

I walked down the sidewalk, thinking.

My grandma is probably so hurt by Elena's words, have I mentioned how much I hate her?

I was walking for a good while when I ended up at the park.

I took a seat on a swing and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear.

I let out a sigh and rolled my eyes.

"Hey Kirby"

I looked to where I heard the voice and saw none other than Q.

"Hi Q, how's life doing you"

"It could be better, how about you. Are you ok" He said looking at me weirdly

I thought a little before I replied, everyone always assumed I was ok with my life, that I was ok with my grandmother's relationship. That I was ok with Elena attitude. That I was ok with Elena's mom self centered ways.

"I'm doing fine Q, thank you for asking" I say with a smile.

He smiled back and got on the swing next to me.
