" One hot chocolate with extra sugar on the side please."

" Will that be all ma'am?"

" Yes, thank you."

I loved rainy days.

A Time where the hoes where away and the bookworms could play.

I stared at the dark grey sky through the glass window of the small cafe shop I was in. The pouring rain always seemed to love my presence as much as I loved it's. The many clouds, wet ground and silence were just some of the many things that the sky had to offer today. A perfect day to drink your favorite beverage and read.

The cafe was filled with little chatter and the smell of fresh donuts. Just how I liked it. It would seem that today was a perfect day. I dug threw my bag and pulled out ' Maximum Ride'. One of the many book series that I stuck my nose into from day to day. I pushed back a strand of my blue hair behind my ear as I tired to read the words on the page. My eyes scanning through the book, taking in the author's words as if I could actually see what was happening.

" I guess some books really can pull you in...." I mumbled to myself fascinated with the book.

" Is that so ?"

I quickly jerk my eyes up to come face to face with the voice who interrupted my daily reading. My eyes looked over the black haired fellow who now sat in front of me. A man? Just when did he get there? I scrunched my nose up at his sudden presence.

I decided to ignore him as I picked up the steaming cup of hot chocolate that I didn't know had been there. I opened my book back up and scanned back over the pages then took a sip of my drink. The taste of the chocolate in my mouth made my taste buds do flips and the warmness of the drink heated my frozen heart up. I melted as I drunk more of the hot coco loving the taste and feeling of it inside me.

I heard a chuckle come from infront of me and I quickly glanced back up at the dark haired man. He was watching me intensely. His eyes never looked away from mine even when our eyes met. He smirked instead of shifting his eyes to the side like any other normal person would do. Talk about creepy.

" You do know it's rude to stare!"

I accidentally snapped without thinking...

" You do know it's rude to take someone's drink, right?"

I clapped my hands over my mouth in realization. The hot chocolate that I drunk was not mine. It was this mysterious mans. I sat the cup back down quickly and pushed it away from me.

" sorry."

I didn't bother lifting my head up. I knew I was to embarrassed to look this stranger in the eye. it was strange though. He sat right in front of me and had the same cup of hot chocolate I always ordered. my thoughts were cut off due to him clearing this throat. I jerk my head up to see him once again staring at me. he didn't say anything, he just sat there. If this was a contest then I didn't want to be apart of it. I just wanted to enjoy this nice rainy day.

I looked into his dark eyes. his eyes were pitch black. I felt as if i was lost in a dark room with no windows or lights with no way out. his eyes held such loneliness and regret. it was as if he pushed all of the things he didn't want to think about out of his head and into those dark eyes. those eyes that looked like they held so many secrets. Secrets that he hasn't told anyone. I bit my lip knowing the feeling all to well. this man in front of me was in pain. so much pain. I put my small hand over his larger one without thinking. I brushed over his rough skin with my index finger, stroking his hand lightly with my small one. I felt him tense up at my sudden action.
