The Boy Next Door

Chapter 1: Welcome to the Neighborhood!

Hi my name is Anna Lewis and I'm 18 years old and just moved into a new town. I'm 5'7, black hair that's up to my shoulder and brown eyes. It's just me and My mom since my dad left us when I was 4 years old. It's a Friday afternoon and I arrived to my new house. 1432 S Baker St. I walks in to find a beautiful furnished house.

Day 1:
Anna's PVO

"I can't believe to house is ours!" I say with excitement. " It's our's" my mom said, " Go check out your room and start decorating!" my mom adds. I walk up to find my room, it's pretty big, full size bed, big closet, desk,and even a bay window that is aligned with my neighbor's window. I walk back down stairs and grab my bedding and boxes. I go up and start to decorate my desk, I pull out pictures of my friends from back home and pin them to the wall. After 30 minutes pass I'm finally finshed with my desk and bedding. I grab some posters and tape them to my wall. I have two 5 seconds of summer posters, one One Direction poster, one Magcon poster and one Shawn Mendes poster. I have a lot of other posters but I'm too lazy to tape them up. After putting those up I go walk to my bay window and see a big figure in the window next door. He's pretty tall, brown hair and brown eyes. I was to lost in my thoughts for too long that I didn't notice him looking at me, I started to blush. I look at him and he gave a friendly smile and waved "hi", I waved back and closed my curtains quickly I was so embarrassed. I ran down stairs and I walked into the living room,then I heard a knock. My mom shouted "Get the door!", "I got it!" I shouted back. I ran to the door and it was the boy from the window. "Um,hi." I said as he was holding a cake. "Um, hi I'm your neighbor Shawn. My mom wanted me to bring over this cake as a welcoming gift, it's chocolate with banana." Shawn says with a smile. "Why thank you, umm would you like to come in a have some cake?" I ask nervously. "I'll like that." He said with a smile while walking through my door. "Mom we have a guest, he's one of our neighbors." I tell her. "Nice to meet you?" She says with her hand out for a handshake. "Shawn,nice to meet you too" he says while shaking her hand. "Oh mom Shawn brought cake, chocolate with banana your favorite." "I would love to eat pie but I have to run to the store be back in a hour, love you, Shawn watch her for me?" My mom says kissing my forehead and grabbing her keys. "Yes ma'am" Shawn says. My mom leaves and I go grab a knife to cut the cake.

Shawn's POV

My name is Shawn, yes as in Shawn Mendes but I don't like think I'm super famous and I heard that our new neighbors finally moved in so I baked them a cake. I was helping my mom bake a cake of our new neighbors. While it was in the oven I went up stairs to my room to check my phone, when I saw a girl looking at me through her window next door. She seemed to have black hair and brown eyes.

I decided to smile and wave. She waved back but then closed her curtains. I went back down stairs to go check on the cake, it was just about done when I got down there. "Mom, the cake is done. I'm going to bring next door. See you a few." I tell her. "Okay, I'm going to the store anyways so I might not be her when you come back." "Ok then,love you" I tell her going towards the door. "Love you too son." My mom tells me. I close the door and make my way next door. I go ring the door bell and is welcomed by a very beautiful girl,she seems about my age. "Um,hi." She says as I'm still checking her out I finally snap out of it "Um hi, I'm your neighbor Shawn.My mom wanted a me to bring this cake over as a welcoming gift, it's chocolate with banana." I say holding a cake. "Why thank you, umm would you like to come in and enjoy some cake?" She asked. "I would like that." I told her. We walk into her house,into the kitchen. I had introduced myself to her mother but never actually got her name. Her mom had left to the store and so we were there alone but together. She went to go grab a knife to cut the cake. "You know I never got your name" I told her as she was cutting the cake. "It's Anna." she told while giving me a piece of cake. "Well nice to meet you Anna." I told her. "Same to you" Anna told me. We start to eat our pie and we got to know each other a bit.

Anna's POV

I invited Shawn in since my mom is not going to be here anyways.I finally told Shawn my name which I totally forgot to do. So when we eating pie we started to talk and get to know each other. "Um so Anna, how old are you?" Shawn asked. "I'm 18, you?" I ask. "Same, where do you go to school?" He asked. "I go to Union High School. My first day is actually Monday, do you go there?" I told him. "I'm a online student but I have some friends there, maybe they could show you around. His name is Matthew." He told me. I really thought that he came to the same school. I thought to myself. "That would be awesome, and I really wishes that you came to that school so at least I would have one friend already." I told him. "It would have been cool, but I'll stick to online school, and so I could also keep up with singing. But I'll keep in touch with you while your there. Here let me see your phone so I could add my number." Shawn told me. "Wow you sing, that's amazing, oh and here's my phone, let me see your phone so I can put my number in too." I told him. We exchanged phones. When I got my phone I sent a text to Shawn which he put himself as Shawny🎤. I send Shawn a text
Me: Hey Shawny, it's Anna. Like the name I put for myself?
Shawny🎤: I love it. Anna Banana 💛, love it.

I get off my phone and look at the time it's 6:35. "Hey Shawn would you like to stay over for dinner?" I asked. "Yeah sure,let me just text my mom." He said. "Okay great, I'll tell my mom she said she'll be here in a bit to make dinner.". I told him, as that my mom walked in. "Oh hey mom, I invited Shawn over for dinner is that okay?" I ask her. "That's fine sweetie, I'll be in the kitchen, why don't you show Shawn around the house give him the tour." My mom told me. "Oh yeah come on Shawn, I'll give you the grand tour of the house." I told him. "My mom said it's cool for me to stay for dinner." Shawn told me. "Great may the tour begin."

Shawn's POV

Well, Anna intived me over for dinner which I gladly said yes. She's talking me on the tour of her house. Her house very similar to mine but I don't want to ruin the tour for her. She was telling me about all the rooms when we passed a wall full of pictures. "Is that your family?" I ask. "Yeah,that's me,my mom, and dad. I think I was about 3 years old in that picture. But that next year my dad left me and my mom and I never saw him again." Anna told me. "Oh sorry to bring it up." I tell her. "It's totally fine, and now shall we go upstairs to continue the tour?" She asked me. I nodded yes since I was still processing the whole dad thing. We go up stairs and there's 4 doors. "This is my mom's room which is the master bedroom and this is mine,then the last door is the bathroom and this is my little nook area." She tells me while opening up her door. "Wow, big room, hah" I laugh a little bit seeing there's a poster of Shawn Mendes in her room. "What's so funny?" She asked. "Oh nothing just admiring your posters, can't help to notice you have a poster of Shawn Mendes." I tell her. "Oh yeah I'm a pretty big fan of him, you've heard of him?" She ask not knowing that I'm him. "Yeah I've heard of him, I am him." I tell her. She rips of her poster from the wall and holds it up to my face to compare. I hear a gasp from her. "You're him, I should have seen it, your name is Shawn and sings. This is amazing." She tells me. "I hope this doesn't effect anything because you're a pretty cool person and your pretty chill." I tell her looking in her brown eyes as they meet mine. "Of course this isn't going change anything, I actually thought you are a cool person too." Anna tells me with a little blush in her cheeks. "Anna, Shawn dinner's ready!" I hear Anna's mom yell. "Okay be down in a sec!" Anna yells back. "Come on let's go." She tells me. We walk down stairs to the classic spaghetti and meatballs with side of salad and carrots. "This looks delicious Ms. Anna's Mom." I tell Anna's mom. "Why thank you Shawn, call me Jamie." She tells me. "This is really good Mom" Anna tells her. After a hours of eating and talking I went to check my phone and it's already 8:48. "Hey Mendes, what time is your curfew, got time to watch a movie?" Anna asked me. My curfew is 11 and I can't give up the chance to watch a movie with a beautiful girl. "Not till 11 and, yeah sure what movie?" I tell her. "Well I have the whole Harry Potter series if you want to watch one of those movies?" She tells me as I start to glow because I love Harry Potter. "Of course, how about Globet of Fire?" I tell her. "Let's do it!" She says as she puts the movie disc in then goes pop popcorn because what's a movie with popcorn. After like 2 hours the movie finshed and Anna fell asleep on should and it was around 10 and she was so pretty sleeping but I had to wake her up so I can go home. "Hey Anna, wake up" I say as shaking her. "I'm up, you gotta go?" She asked, "Yeah its almost my curfew, I'll text okay?Maybe we can hang out tomorrow?" I say reaching out for a hug. "Yeah I'll like that see you tomorrow" She says as hugging me back. Anna walks me to her door and we say our goodnighs.
