jeongguk's heart stopped at the sight of jimin standing on the roof as he looked down at his friends were calling his name and telling him to stop what he was doing. they didn't want to see jimin die.

the guilt that was in jeongguk faded as determination filled it's spot and forced him to run towards the abandoned building where jimin was standing as ready to fall at any moment. the pleading of jimin not to run was strong and loud enough for jeongguk to hear as he ran up the countless stairs as it was illuminated by the moon's light.

once jeongguk reached the top he saw the light on jimin's back as the boy looked down at the friends. he took a step forward which made jeongguk's heart run with fear and his legs to move after him. before jimin could take another step jeongguk yanked him back.

everyone on the ground saw jeongguk's presence as he was behind and feared the maknae would push jimin down but they were surprised, to watch jeongguk do the opposite which made the two no visible to them. they were all surprised except jin who was smiling a bit, knowing jeongguk was finally doing something right for once.

jimin's eyes widened as he was yanked and engulfed in a hug. it was a foreign feeling to him. what fueled that feeling was that the person was jeongguk. jeongguk the one who bullied him, the one who said worst things to him, the one who drove him to this decision.

"don't do it," jeongguk said, "don't do it. please."

the words tightened jeongguk's embrace on jimin, "please don't leave us. don't leave me."

the jeongguk formed tears in jimin eyes and fell as he closed them, "i won't," he replied and hugged jeongguk back, "i won't." jeongguk smiled as relief washed over him.

pulling away from the hug, jeongguk spoke, "i'm sorry," he looked down, "i'm sorry for everything. the words i said, my actions. i'm sorry."

"as long as you know what you did was terrible," jimin said placing a hand on jeongguk's shoulder, "i'll forgive you."

jeongguk thanked him then took his hyung's wrist, "lets take the stairs," jimin smiled and nodded, allowing jeongguk to lead the way.
