The house was filled with the noise of the televison. Liam and Oliver had fallen asleep but I couldn't sleep. I made myself some warm tea and sat down at the computer, planning to work on my homework. But I couldn't do that because I quickly fell asleep at the desk. "Rose, baby, wake up" Liam says, shaking me lightly. I groan and sit up. "What" I ask sleepily.
"Are you going to come with me to drop Oliver off at school?"
"No. I don't want him to go. And I'm too tired."
"He has to go so he can be ready for kindergarten."
"Okay" I muttered and fell back asleep. I had the weirdest dream. Oliver was somewhere in the country -in the woods- screaming for help. A little girl ran up to him "Big brother, what's wrong?" That's when I realized it was Madylyn. I wanted to scream but couldn't. I didn't know what was going on but I knew it had to be bad. "Mommy! Daddy" Oliver cried. What was going on? I saw Liam run up, a choked sob escaping his throat. "Oh my god! Rose! We found her!" "What's going on" Madylyn screamed. I ran into the picture and started crying while muttering "She was only missing for a month. That was it. Why couldn't we find her on time? We could've saved her!"
I wake up to crying. I look around until I realize it was me. I run into the living room and see Liam. "What's wrong princess? Why are you crying" he asks. I tell him about my dream and he looks really upset but says "It was just a dream, nothing like that is ever going to happen." I smile and ask him how I will be able to afford stuff when he's gone. "I'll put money into your bank account" he assures me. I nod and wipe away my tears. Liam got up and went to the kitchen. "What do you want for lunch" he asks. I think and finally say "Some Ramen Noodles will be fine, I guess." I hear the cabinets opening and closing. I hear him move some pots and decide to go help him. "Here is the pot" I say handing him the correct pot. He blushes and takes it from me. I smile and mess up his hair. He glares at me and I laugh. I hand him two packets of Ramen Noodles and tell him to cook.
He nods and says "Yes your highness." I laugh and go sit down, looking through the television. Oliver should be home soon. I put on Disney Junior and walk off. I walk into Madylyn's room and smile at what a wonderful job Zayn had done. It was beautiful. I took a quick picture and put it on Facebook, knowing nobody knew the sex of my child. "It's a beautiful girl" I caption the picture with the wall that had Madylyn's name on it. I quickly look through my Facebook and then put it away. I hear a bus pull up and run outside. Oliver stepped off smiling and waved at some children on the bus. Today must've been good. "Mommy" he hollered, running to me. I smile "What did you do today?" He hands me a painting and says "We painted and then we listened to the teachers read a story and then we sang." I smile and take him inside. He didn't like Ramen Noodles so I fixed him a ham and cheese sandwich with barbeque chips. He smiles and eats while humming along to the Mickey Mouse Club House theme song.
I laugh and eat. Liam takes a seat next to me and smiles at Oliver. "So, do you want to go to the park later" Liam asks and Oliver nods. I groan and say "I can't, I have to do school work." That was a lie. Liam and I knew it. We were going to buy Oliver a husky puppy. Liam and I decided that we would get a girl one. "Poopie on you mommy" Oliver says.
"Oliver, be nice and don't say that word."
"What word? Poopie?"
"Yes. You have to be nice."
"Fine."
I smile and they leave for the park. When I was sure they couldn't see me I left. I went to a small little puppy farm and looked at the huskies. I saw one that had black and white patches and blue eyes. "I want her" I say to the farmer. He nods and gets her out. She licks my face when I hold her. I pay for the dog and debate on naming her. I decide not to so that Oliver could pick out a name. I take her home after buying the obvious necessities for the dog. Liam walks inside about an hour later, covering Oliver's eyes. He uncovers them and Oliver says "Puppy!"
"Yeah, it's your puppy. Do you want to name her?"
"Yeah, Marmaduke."
"No , it's a girl. How about Maggie?"
"Ok. Maggie."
The dog looks at him and he says her name again and she runs over, rolling over so that he could give her a belly rub. Oliver smiled and hugged his dog. We had just watched Marmaduke so it wasn't a surprise that he wanted her to be named Marmaduke. He laughs as Maggie chases him around the house. "Mommy Maggie is licking my face" Oliver cries. Tears stream down his little face and I laugh "Maggie is just giving you kisses. That's how dogs give kisses" I explain. He looks at me while pushing Maggie away "Really?" I nod and he lets Maggie run back up to him. Liam smiles from the corner of the room. I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his neck "I love you" I whisper. "I love you more" he kisses my forehead. "Ew! Kisses" Oliver hollers. I throw my head back and laugh. I was laughing so hard that Liam had to hold me up. Oliver didn't quite understand why that was so funny. He was too young to understand why, too.
We all sat down and played Candy Land - by request of Oliver. Maggie lay at our feet, chewing on the bone I'd bought her. Around eight i tell Oliver its time for bed. Besides the usual, not wanting to brush his teeth, he complained of not being tired. "Oliver, you have to go to bed.
Okay guys, I'm going to continue working on this chapter in my free time so I hope this is enough for a little while. I'll continue it when I get a chance. Im sorry I haven't updated. I really am.
