I helped him lie down on the floor and sat down next to him. Taking out my phone, I texted Iris, the screen illuminating the dark room.

Kk, but it better be something important x

Five minutes later, I heard a knock on the door.

"It's me Mia," a familiar voice said. I unlocked it and let her in.
"Mr Johnson let me go to the toilet so I need to be back soon. I don't know what kind of joke your playing but-" When her eyes had finally adjusted to the dark, she let out a gasp.

"I never knew you had a boyfriend!" I hissed at her, motioning to the boy. I saw her cover her mouth with her hand in shock. Then she ran, no actually shuffled towards him, tears streaming from her eyes. I was actually quite shocked at the sudden change of emotions.

"Hunter, what happened?" she whispered, placing her hands on his wound.

Oh, so his name is Hunter.

He didn't flinch like he did with me and I felt a pang of jealousy. He seemed to relax a bit as she stroked his wound.

"Lexa attacked me," he coughed out and then closed his eyes.

"Oh my god! Did she see you? I knew you shouldn't have done it! You obnoxious, stubborn, little-"

I gently coughed myself, interrupting their argument. Helloooo? It was as if they were ignoring me.

"Could someone please tell me what's happening?" I said, crossing my arms. I felt them both tense and the temperature of the room started to drop.

"Hunter stop that," Iris whispered. He sighed and warmth spread around me once more.

"I-I don't understand," I started to stutter but Iris silenced me with her hand.

"I think that you should leave Mia."

I opened my mouth to argue but she shook her head.

"Please."

"Fine," I said, taking my bag and opening the door. Clearly, they didn't need me anymore. I felt anger starting to build up inside me. Is this really how they thank me?

When I stepped out, I heard Hunter say my name.

"Yes?" I asked, my heart beating fast.

"You forgot your skateboard." he muttered.

I frowned and picked up my skateboard which was next to him and walked out, slamming the door behind me. Great. Because of him, my lesson was almost finished. It wasn't even worth going into class now.

I headed to the bathroom to splash my face with water. My head was spinning and I felt a dull headache starting to form. I had no idea who that boy was and why Iris had never mentioned him to me. I thought we were best friends. I mean- we practically knew each other inside out: I remember us telling each other countless secrets at sleepovers, having movie marathons with buckets full of caramel popcorn, travelling around America together in the summer...her betraying me like this would never even cross my mind. Okay, she didn't exactly betray me, but that's how I felt- betrayed.
