Time to Celebrate!

Caroline POV

After a period of 2 weeks I can finally say I am absolutely fine. Yes. And Klaus made sure of that. He had been hovering all around me like a mother hen. Even though I love him to bits, at times his over protectiveness makes me frustrated.

Thank god I am healthy again. Today is a great day as it is. Since Mikaelsons are throwing a party here at our place. According to Becca....yes I call her that now. Seems like the ice queen can be a charming woman when she wants to be.

According to Becca this party is an annual thing which happens every year. The Supernaturals here in Chicago need to be aware of who are the head of the immortals.

I am just about to get ready for the evening. Its making me nervous. Today Klaus will introduce me as his mate to everyone. I have to make an impression. Not that I am not a perfect mate for him. But this party would need my total attention. I have to act as a Queen. Being my baby's mate automatically makes me a Hybrid Queen of the supernaturals.

I was so into my thoughts that I failed to realize that someone had entered my bedroom.

Klaus POV

Todays party will be a totally different experience. Since my love will be my date this evening. Showing off Caroline to everyone as my mate will make my wolf immensely happy. And maybe tonight will be The Night. Yes I am planning a surprise for my love.

I entered our room to see my sweetheart staring outside the window with a distant look in her eyes. I approached her from behind. My arms closed around her stomach and she with a sigh fell back on my shoulders.

"Where is your mind love?" I asked her.

"You. Its always about you baby. I am just waiting for this evening. It would be so cool. I mean meeting and greeting everyone. Just like a school prom." She said.

"Only you love, its only you who would compare this event with a school prom. And you are right it would be cool. To show you off to everyone. You are like a precious gem and only I am lucky enough to be with you." With these words I turned her around and kissed her beautiful pink lips.

She too responded with equal passion. My hands moved all around her curves. It took a few moments for me to analyze the situation. This moment is not meant to be. I have to abort it. Tonight I will change things for good though. I smiled into the kiss with these thoughts and pulled away from her only to see her pout adorably.

"Love we gave a party to attend soon. And I wont let our first time be a quickie. It has to be perfect. Alright?" I said smirking.

She nodded with a lost look in our eyes.

Lets get ready shall we.

All the guests had come and the party was in full swing. I was busy mingling and introducing my love to everyone. She looked   like an angel this evening. Dressed in one of my family collectables, she was killing all the males here tonight.

All eyes were subtly following her. No one was believing of the fact that I had a mate. And some ladies were gushing over the fact of how cute of a couple we made. How cheesy. Phew.

In all this I was very much aware of the fact that my plan was in motion. I had secretly done everything. Even Elijah was aware of what I was about to do in a few hours.

Gradually the party ended and once the last of our guests left, Caroline started to make way to our room. I followed her as usual but was hyper aware of  what was about to happen.

Caroline POV

Today's evening was really good. I loved socialising with all the supernatural beings from around the world. And my baby never left me alone. He supported me throughout the party. It felt nice to be surrounded by friends and family.

But at times when I looked into his eyes there seemed to be some unknown emotions. What was he thinking? I will ask him soon when we retire to bed.

When it was time to call it a night I walked upstaires to our room. Aware of the fact that Klaus was behind me I opened the door.

And I was totally floored and surprised by what I saw and I cried with non stop tears.

The entire room was filled with candles, flowers and a huge teady bear holding a heart.

I turned to him with questioning eyes when he closed our bedroom door. He walked towards me, held my hands only to drop a kiss and get down on one knee.

My heart stopped beating altogether.

"Caroline...I was an inhuman, careless, ruthless and good for nothing monster with a dark past. But you suddenly came into my life. Like a meteor shower. Full of brightness and color. You shined into my life. And at this moment when I have you as my soulmate, all I want to do is call you mine. And it is only possible when you will allow me to claim your heart as mine. Caroline Forbes will you please marry me...will you please be my light, my wife?" He asked with a hint of nervousness in his blue eyes, holding out a beautiful ring in his hands.

I had no words. He wanted to marry me. He really wanted to be with me forever. My baby was here on one knee. The hybrid king to the world was here proposing to me.

I cried and really cried and went down on my knees. I hugged him with all the love I felt for him.

"Yes. Yes. A hundred times yes. I want to be your wife Klaus. I love you so much. I..I.." stammering like an idiot.

He got the fact how emotional his words made me. He too had teary eyes.

With full determination he slided my ring on my ring finger for the rest of eternity. And kissed me with full force. His passion ignited pleasure all over my body.

We lost ourselves in each other. I felt complete. I became his woman. Holding each other being one as a man and woman. Klaus took me to heights of passion. He was a thorough lover.

And then when we found our breaths. Something strange happened within me. I screamed so loudly that the room practically vibrated. My body on its own accord twisted and lifted itself in the air. Bright lights surrounded my body. I felt electrocuted with immense powers.
And finally I lost my consciousness!

My destiny got to me!
