Out of all the films in the DCAMU it's the movies centered around the teen titans that I like to discuss the most. I've seen this particular film several times and have a lot to say about it. Overall I really enjoyed this one and it was refreshing to see the titans done in a more adult way then what's been going on in Teen Titans Go. (PLEASE NOTE I DON'T HATE TEEN TITANS GO). I do think that this movie works better when it focuses on the Teen Titans over the Justice League and would have almost preferred if this film was just solely based around the them. There's a lot of characters in this movie and not all of them are given enough time to be developed. The title is also pretty misleading as the two teams only really fight once in the movie. But, I understand why they did named the movie that. $$$$. However, with all that said the thing that makes this movie stand out to me the most is that it was the birth of the ship that I never really knew I wanted until I saw the movie. That is of course the ship that is Damirae (Damian and Raven). I was always more of a Robrae fan on the original Teen Titans show and was upset that they never went through with that pairing on the original show or at least gave it a chance to see if it worked or not. (Robin and Raven have always been my two favorite characters on the Teen Titans). So when they started planting the seeds of a relationship between the two characters I was like hey that really works! Let's see where it goes from here. Both characters come from very similar backgrounds and have a meaningful connection where the two of them struggle to overcome the bad side of their heritage. With Damian trying to overcome Ras Al Ghul and Raven trying to overcome her father the demon Trigon. Another thing I like is that Raven is the only person who was really able to calm down Damian Wayne and make him laugh and smile. That itself is an accomplishment. Anyways, I've rambled on enough. I'll continue discussing the rest in the comments. There's still a lot to talk about so let me know in the comments below what you thought of the movie.
This movie was then followed by the sequel Teen Titans: The Judas Contract.
