The first gem is a sapphire. It will be where the moon will glisten in roses...

I woke up in the quiet morning and I rolled over to see Matt with his eyes closed, facing me. Smiling, I tapped his nose to wake him up. He woke up right away, his cute, beautiful eyes looking at me. He smiled at me and he tapped my nose. I smiled back as I rolled out of bed.

Opening the door and walking into the hall, I looked toward the living room and out the glass walls. The skies were bright blue with a radiant sun high in its blue coloring. It was a cloudless day. And it was beautiful. I sat down on one of the couches and noticed that there was a steaming mug of hot cocoa on the coffee table with two cups of tea and one of coffee. I smiled as I grabbed the hot cocoa and took a sip. I ran around the living room screaming. Guess why...I burned my stupid tongue!

I must've screamed louder than I thought, because Matt, Ari, and Rose came out of their rooms with scared expressions on their faces. I put down the mug and finally ran to the cooler to get a cup of water.

My friends must've put together what happened because they were dying of laughter. I just stood there with an embarrassed look on my face.

"It's not funny!" I said. Matt walked up to me and put his hands on my shoulders. Looking me straight in the eyes, he said;

"You're right, it's not funny;" I smiled at him. "It's hilarious!" He broke out into a fit of laughter as he proceeded to tickle my sides.

Crap!

I forgot he knew I was ticklish.

I was laughing just as hard until I saw another flash. I looked back to the girls. Rose took another picture.

"Seriously guys?!" I yelled angrily. They just giggled at my anger. Well, I rolled my eyes as I walked back to my bedroom to get clothes. I grabbed a black tank top, denim shorts, grey sweatshirt, white socks and grey converse, and making sure to put on my ring and necklace. After putting them on, I walked back out to the living room to enjoy my cocoa with my friends...without burning my tongue. Matt and Rose had the tea and Ari had the coffee, their favorites.

"Hey, guys?" asked Rose. "Why the heck did these just show up? I mean...how did they know what we drink in the morning?" That got the wheels in my head turning.

"Maybe magic, like all the other crap that's happening to us. I mean, it makes sense. I get dreams, everything is absolutely amazing, we're basically living our dreams right now, so why can't magic be involved?" I asked.

"Or Shawn told them to bring these up every morning," suggested Rose, giggling.

"Hey, speaking of magic. Maybe we should start looking for those gems. That's what those envelopes said to do, right?" offered Ari. The rest of us nodded and looked at the envelopes.

"The first gem is a sapphire. It will be where the moon will glisten in roses..." read Rose from her letter. "Still, what does that mean?" A lightbulb lit up in my head.

"Isn't there a rose garden out behind the hotel?" I asked. Rose gasped.

"You're right! And it's gonna be cloudless tonight! The moon will glisten in the roses. The sapphire must be hidden somewhere in that garden, but is only visible when the moon is hitting the roses!"

"Rose, you are brilliant!" said Ari while giving her a high-five. We all laughed as Matt and I joined in on the mini "cheer fest".

"Okay, so we'll wait 'till midnight, then we'll sneak into the garden. We do have to make sure we don't get caught by security or maybe there's something magical protecting it," said Matt and we all agreed.

"So what do you guys want to do in the meantime?" I asked.

"Woohoo!" Rose screamed. We were all in our swimsuits. Rose had on a classic black bikini with pink polka dots all over it, Ari had on a hot pink strapless bikini, Matt had on turquoise swim trunks with red and blue Hawaiian flowers all over it and I was in a light purple bikini with white swirl designs on it. We were all taking turns jumping off the pool's awesome diving board. There was literally no one else even outside the hotel, so we had the pool and the gardens all to ourselves.

Anyway, when Rose jumped in the large pool, let's just say...she landed on top of me. We both screamed as she fell into the water. The deep end wasn't very deep so we were easily able to swim back to the surface.

"Dude, you have a hard head," she complained while holding her foot underneath the water.

"It probably became a rock after your flat foot hit it," I complained putting my hand on my head. We both giggled at each other until another large splash drenched us both. I turned around slowly with a fake angry look on my face. Of course, it was Matt.

"Seriously Matt?!" I yelled and then put a pout on my dripping face. He just closed his eyes and rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed.

"Aw...Matthew's embarrassed because of Emmy," teased Ari. She was standing right at the edge of the pool where I was floating. I smirked as I grabbed her ankle and made her fall into the pool. Unfortunately, she had the brilliant idea of dragging me down with her.

I didn't get to take a breath before she pulled me down, so she was back on the surface and I was losing oxygen. My vision was getting darker so I, of course, accidentally open my mouth and let all the water in. My vision got brighter. I was perfectly fine. Then I realized, I was breathing underwater! I smiled to myself as I decided to test out this newfound power of mine. Swimming all the way to the bottom of the deep end, I sat down and waited for my friends to get worried.

Well, it worked, because Matt was swimming down to me with a worried look on his face. I giggled and swam up to him with a smile on my face.

I looked right at him and mouthed;

"I can breathe underwater."

He smiled and decided to try and breathe underwater, too! I gasped and swam towards him as fast as I could as his body went limp. The second I touched him, he lifted his head up to show that he could breathe underwater, too!

I smiled as I hugged him tight and he hugged me tighter. I grabbed his hand and we swam to the surface to be met with two terrified friends.

"What the heck is wrong with you guys?!" screamed Rose. I looked at Matt and we both busted out laughing.

"Oh, that? Just breathing underwater. No big deal," responded Matt. Ari and Roses's jaws dropped.

"Wow, just...wow," said Ari, almost speechless. "Wait, why both of you?" I hadn't even thought about that. Why did Matt have the power, too? Didn't the prophecy just say that I had powers?

"I don't know, but we should probably head back to the room. We have a big night tonight," I said. We all dried off and proceeded to walk back to the room.

Well, tonight's gonna be an interesting night...

It was midnight; time to go get the sapphire. We all knew the plan. Use our phones as walkie-talkies, we each get our own corner of the gardens to check, alert the others if you found the sapphire or are caught by someone or something.

The four of us quietly opened and closed the door before tentatively walking down the hall to the elevator. Once we reached the elevator, we pressed the button for the bottom floor and waited in silence as the elevator silently slid to the designated floor. Once it stopped, we slowly got out of it and were on the lookout for the lady at the desk. She was sitting there, but, ironically, she was fast asleep. She was even snoring! That made our mission a lot easier, but we had to be careful to not wake her up.

Eventually, we slipped past the desk and to the curtains that led to the gardens. I slowly moved one of the large, thick curtains and we all slipped through them. We all looked at each other and gave a large sigh of relief.

"Alright, let's move," whispered Matt and we all went to our different corners of the garden.

Sapphire, here we come...
