Draining Me

she reached for the skies like the highest branch wanting to meet,

to touch the beautiful dancing clouds that now lived many in the bright blue skies

just. for. you.

but did you even try to reach for the highest branch too?

maybe you're just her roots that helps her grow to her best every day;

the roots that took in all the energy that left her none,

the cracks of her branches lacked and begged for even just a single drop of water,

but perhaps she'd rather swim in the deep ocean filled with stars

with every touch of boiling comets that she'd encountered and tried to avoid,

though, tear drops over flowed like the sea sometimes

so it was fine for her to get that moisture because it isn't only for her that she cries for,

but for other people too.

you were draining me unknown,

yet you still didn't know.

like a dog being taken advantage of without knowing,

yet knowing, but it lets you because it loves you.
