A Trip to Mom and Dad's

"Kami! Come on, we're going to be late!" Mariko called from the front door. "Hang on! Im- Waugh!!" Kami shrieked as he tripped over his own foot, faceplanting into the living room. "Kami!" Mariko shrieked in surprise, quickly going to help him. Much to both their surprise, Kami was ok; aside from the adrenaline, he wasn't hurt; which was good. Mariko sighed in relief that his hubby was ok. Kami snickered. "You ok baby? You look shaken up." "I was worried that you'd hurt yourself!" Mariko exclaimed, tearing up. "I-I though you'd have gotten hurt really bad.." Kami pulled his Mari into his arms. "Its ok Mari, shh.." he murmured while Mariko desperately fought back the urge to cry. "Im ok baby doll, there's no need to cry."

After Mariko washed his face, the pair set off for Bum and Sangwoo's house. Genes and Sonic had called from Paris the night before, asking how things were, and how school was going. Just trivial questions, but it was a nice conversation nonetheless.

When they arrived at the small house, Mariko knocked on the red painted door, and they stood back a little; patiently. Bum answered a few moments later, greeting the boys with a cheerful smile. "Its so good to see you two!" Bum said, hugging them both. "How have you been?" "We've been doing good, thank you Mom." Mariko smiled, returning the hug. "Mari's at the top of his class already." Kami laughed, also returning the hug. "Im not surprised at all." Bum smiled at his son. "Mari has always been a smart boy."

While the four of the caught up in the living room, with Mariko holding Mizuki in his lap, Kami suddenly asked, "How would you two react if I said that I want to marry Mari?" Bum and Sangwoo looked a bit surprised, but not as much as Mariko. "Y-you want to..m-marry me..?" Mariko stuttered. Kami nodded, pulling something out of his pocket. It was a simple black velvet box, and when opened; it revealed a stunning sapphire ring.

Mariko teared up just looking at the beautiful ring, but smiled at Kami. "You know I'd say yes any day." he sniffled happily, hugging both Kami and Mizuki close; with Bum and Sangwoo both joining in.
