He grabbed my hand and picked up his bag with the other. He was walking really fast and I was trying to keep up. We existed the airport into the cool summer night. I was confused.
"Why are we leaving the airport? I thought we are going to Italy." I said
"We are, not on the regular planes though" he replied "We're taking my jet."
A jet? Only seen those on tv. One minute I was homeless and now I'm going on a private jet. Huh. I guess the universe is on my side. Shawn was dragging me to the underground parking lot. It was full of luxurious cars. Cars I never even knew exited. I can hear the echo of our footsteps as he dragged me  to wherever. He looks even better from behind. He had a tattoo on the back of his neck, but I couldn't quite make it out.
"Wait, can you please slow down? I'm kinda outta breath" I manage to say. I stopped and jolted him back.
"Wow" he said surprised. "Sorry Tiff, didn't know I was walking fast. We're almost at my car, it's right over there" he point to a black low car. It looks expensive.
I swallowed my spit to put back moisture into my throat.
"You go ahead and start it up, also make sure the air is on, I'm right behind you" I said
While I was trying to get myself together, I heard something. I kept walking like I didn't hear it but I definitely heard something. Almost like keys. I looked around but I saw no one. I felt eyes on me. In the corner of my eye I saw movement. I got in the car quickly. Panting.
"Everything, okay?" He asked
"Someone is following us. I saw someone or something. " I said in a worried tone while still looking around.
Shawn touched my lap. It startled me and he quickly removed his hand. I looked at him, his eyes were warm and that made me feel safe in a way.
"Sorry" he said
"Your good, I'm just a little bit jumpy" I replied "Nice car by the way"
"This old thing? Ha." He said jokingly.
"Why are we in your car. Thought we were going on a jet." I said.
"Yes, a private jet that's in a private airport" he said slowly like I was a child. "How do you think I managed to get you a temporary passport?"
Huh. Never thought of that.
"I don't know, money talks." I shrugged. " Can we leave now. The awful yellow lights and the feeling of someone watching us is really creeping me out."
He drove out the parking lot and that's when it hits me. I'm really running away. I smiled. I hated home and the people there. This was my ticket to happiness. Keynah Shawn is my ticket out of Atlanta.
"Why did you agree to this?" He asked still focusing on the road.
"I need the money." I replied
"Money makes people do anything" he said in a low tone.
"Yes. It has the power to do wonders for the people that don't have it."
"Believe me I know" he said.
Handsome man with problems. I guess we're both rowing the same boat.
We arrived about 15 minutes later. It was a really small airport. It actually had one door. It's almost like a 5 star hotel lobby.
"Hello Mr and Mrs Shawn" the pilots said in a polite manner. "Are you ready for take off?"
Did this man just assume we were married? Oh no.
"Yes" Shawn replied. Then looked at me and flashed his ridiculously white teeth.
The pilot lead us to the jet. Like his bag, the jet also had his initials on it in blue. The jet was parked in a hanger and a flight attendant was standing next to the entrance holding a tray with towelettes. For a small jet it was bigger than I expected. White leather seats and brown marble tables. I'm really doing this.
"Do you like it?"
"I mean it's nice, but why do you care about what I think?"
"No reason." He said while pouting his lips towards his nose.
He gestured for me to take a seat. He sat across from me. He pulled out the hidden table.
"Would you like something to drink Mr and Mrs Shawn?"
Why do they-
"Uh yes, 2 glasses of red wine please" he said
"No. I'll just have water" I said while rolling my eyes at him.
"You don't drink?" He asked
"No, I don't drink alcohol, or any other beverages but water." I said "do you order for every women you date?"
"Yes, I think it's a nice gesture, but why don't you drink anything other than water?
"Well, I'm no baby I can order for myself" I said with an attitude. "and my aunt never lets me drink anything but water, she claims anything other than water will make me bigger."
He stared at me with his eyebrows clenched together.
"You know-"
The flight attendant returned with some grapes and freaky looking cheese and crackers. The pilots were getting ready for takeoff and in about 15 mins we were in the air. This is going to be a long flight.
"Why do everyone keep assuming we are married?" I asked
"Because I told them that we are"  he replied after sipping his wine.
"Why would you do that? I signed up to be a girlfriend not a wife. Imma have to charge you extra for that" I said jokingly.
"I wanted word can get around." He rolled his sleeves up and leaned in. " You know most girls would have been happy to be married to me"
"Well, Keynah Shawn. I'm sorry to break it to you, but." I paused for a few seconds and whispered " I'm not most girls" I gave him a fake smile.
He laughed then looked out the window.
I grabbed the headphones I saw in a little pocket next to the window and pretend I was listening
to music. I was getting tired and started doze off and that's when I heard him say in a soft voice.
"Yeah you are not like most girls, you're different I like different."
