Chapter 8

Tiffanies POV.

"Oh my gosh. Lily do I have to wear heals?" I whined.
"Yes ma'am." She said putting the heals on my feet.

Shawn hired stylist to do my hair but I send them back because their uncultured. I ended up straightening my hair and curling it.
The black dress that Shawn picked out, showed too much cleavage so I switched the dress to a more conservative one.

I head downstairs with Lily to find Shawn. I followed the music to a large room fill with people.
There were a variety of different races in the room which took me by surprise.

"Hey, you look amazing." Shawn said resting his hand on my back.
Shawn's look was more casual/formal. But he still looked handsome in his attire.

"But that's not the dress I send to you."
"No it's not. The one you sent was too revealing. I'm trying to impress your family not seduce them." I replied. 
He let out a laugh.
" okay. I uh-"
"And who is this lovely young lady Keynah?"
We turned around and it was the lady from the picture. His mother. She was wearing a green dress and her curly hair was up with pieces falling out.

"Hello mother," he nodded. "This is Tiffanie Burgesses, my uh-uh uh."
"His fiancé." I blurted out.
"Fiancé? Oh my.It's so lovely to finally meet you." She opened her arms and gave me a hug.
I looked at Shawn in confusion. He's lying about something.
"Tiffanie this is my mother. Kathrine Shawn." He said narrowing his eyes.
"Shut up Key and go get me a drink." She fanned him away and took me to the side.

"Let me see the ring." She said with wide eyes.

"The ring? The ring. The ring!, Yes, actually it's getting fitted, it was too small." I lied.
She looked at me and smile.
"Keynah brought tons of women to meet me, but they were all, skanky looking, I must say, you look certainly different. Very beautiful." She said with her kind haze eyes
"Here you go mother." Shawn hand her the drink.
"Now go away, you've met her."

"You expect me to leave her alone, after all the things you said this weekend. Puh-leez. Move." Taking my hand she bumped into him as we walked pass
He talks about me, to his mother.

Katherine wanted to know every detail about us. She was drunk and told me everything Shawn said about me so it was easy making things up. She introduce me to nearly everyone at the party including Shawn's two best friends, Wade and Quade, twins.
Katherine left me talking to them.

"So uh, Tiffanie, you have any lady friends that I can borrow for the night." Wade asked.
"No sorry, but when I find one I'll let you know." I said jokingly.
" How long have you known Shawn?" Quade asked making me become nervous.
"A while now." I said to him.
"But he hasn't mentioned you yet, and we are his bro. And now he's getting married."
"I asked him not to mention me to anyone, because I uh. Wasn't ready to meet you guys and his parents so don't be mad at him."
He looked like he was pleased with my answer.

Then I saw Shawn with woman. She looked so much prettier than me. Tall, skinny big boobs touching all over his arm and my heart began to race.
No, I can't be. What we have is fake.
But this feeling of jealousy is not. And before I knew it I was stomping over to them.
I got in between them facing her. I was surprised that I was still shorter than both of them even in heals.
"Okay. you can look, but you can't touch. That's right. MINES. Move." She stood there glaring at me from head to toe.
"Why are you still here, I will break you in half if you don't get up out ma face."I stepped closer to her.
"Shoo shoo." I fanned her away.
I turned to Shawn and his eye where full of lust.
