Chapter Two-Deeper

Thalia had always seen the world in a different way to everyone else. She had always believed in miracles, little did she know that her and her brother were two adorable little miracles. she raised out of her bed and opened her bedroom, she door clunked slowly down the hallway "Boo" "Ahh" Thalia yelled "she's awake now dad" Chris yelled down the stairs to his father "I swear to god I will kill you Chris, Jesus your gonna give me a heart attack one day" Thalia said as she tied her long, wavy hair into a high ponytail, it twisted neatly in the flowy breeze "I'll meet you in the car" She said as she raced down the creaky stairs, into the kitchen, out the door and into the car. She fiddled with the air con as her brother got in the car with her

"you okay sis" Chris said in a sympathetic tone "yeah its just that we've won lot of battles but I think we've met our match and I don't want to lose you, dad or Ash" she said with tears in her eyes, the doubt within her continued to grow as the days passed and she couldn't handle the pain for much longer "you wont ok" he said "there's no promise to that Chris" she answered "ok children we are off" Duibius said as he got in the car and turned on the engine. "Thalia were all going to be fine" Duibius said "exactly right" Chris said as he put his hand on Thalia's shoulder "its alright you two don't have to worry about me I'm just being paranoid" Thalia wiped the tears off her face and thought of all the amazing moments she had spent with her family and deep down she knew that all those moments would fade away as she took her final breaths. She knew that death was inevitable.

They drove through the winding streets as the wind blew the trees around and shook the branches like maracas. The wheels ran gently over the bitumen road as it suddenly turned to a dirt, rocks and loose gravel crunched under the tyres. The car came to a holt and the doors unclicked and they all got out of the car and walked to the rest of Common District. They changed swiftly and gracefully.

Thalia saw Ash from across the field, he saw her too, they gave each other a meaningful glance. Thalia was woken from her trance by a stiff tap on the shoulder. "hi guys please run ten laps" Thalia said getting straight to the point "go now and put your legs into it" Chris yelled "Chris ease up they have done very well lately and they have all drastically improved their battle performance" Thalia sad while furrowing her brow in chagrin "your right sorry guys your looking really good, you've definitely improved and were both very proud of you and your improvements" Chris said as they finished their laps.

"ok so now that your warmed up were going to battle with a compatible match from another district and youll be put in ranks, Chris and I are going to take the lowest ranks" Thalia said "and that means that some of you might not have us anymore ok" Thalia said a little teary eyed as she had grown fond of the group she had "yes Thalia" the group chanted, this only made her more upset "now hurry up all Districts gather quickly" Storm yelled as all the Districts began to scramble into their groups and organise themselves appropriately. Thalia looked around at her fellow wolves and held back the tears as they all looked weary and gloomy "choose battle partners and form a line" Storm said a little nervously "begin your fights" he said.

There was a lot of growling and whining, wolves were jumping everywhere there was whimpers and bangs. The once peaceful training ground had turned into a chaotic pig sty. Everything was being messed up, grass was being ripped up, little trees being uprooted and rocks were being shattered. Suddenly an earth-shaking howl came cracking through the fields "Aarooararrooo" Ash called loudly this meant he objected to the idea of the battles. He ran to the front of the manic field and stood on a large uneven boulder "I believe this battle system is ridiculous all it does is wear out our weakest, youngest most vulnerable members of the pack right before a deadly life threatening battle its a stupid idea" Ash yelled This angered Thalia "I disagree with you it will only improve their performance" Thalia said "I understand both of you but I agree with Ash it will tire our weakest members STOP the battles" Storm yelled "thankyou Storm I'm glad someone could overrule the great Thalia" Ash said
