Fifty years ago, scientists merged the DNA with different types of animals, never quite getting it right. After a year or two, their temperament began changing, and they were said to have no emotions. Three hundred broke out of their lab, and were on the loose. They started breeding, and soon there were hundreds of thousands of them.
Due to the damage that they created, major cities had to be evacuated. This generation does not recall from where they were created, but they have now traveled. The scientist each took a few before to place them in different habitats to see where they developed the best, sadly when they all went on a rampage, they killed them and started breeding immediately. Because of the overflow in America, the government created a special task force called E.N.U.T.F. None of the recruits know what it stands for, though they're sure it's something serious.
Their motto there is, “Annihilate and show no mercy," and for years Caley Horan and her brother Niall were fine with that. But one day, while they’re on a raid in a small town, one of them doesn’t look disgusting and mangled like the others. He would look extremely human except for the black and white striped tail, tan skin with what felt like peach fuzz, and a dog nose and whiskers. Oh yeah, and his black eyes that only a had ring of amber for the iris.
Unlike the rest of the Bi-Gens and Tri-Gens, he isn’t really stupid. In fact, he had been their ‘packs’ carer for a while now, and could walk upright, and even speak correctly. Ironically, Zayn (as she found that was his name) was the leader of the very beings that was meant to be destroyed by the leader of the task force, which she just so happened to be next in line for.
Will love get in the way of her mission; or will she annihilate him just like she has done to thousands of his kind for years. And once more, will he forgive her and fall in love as well, or will he fight to the death with the ‘hunters’ (Caley herself) like he has been doing for years?
{A/N: BOOM. Hey, there! Okay, so I normally don't have blurbs, but this was much too short to be the prologue. Yeah. Along with Behind the Lense, this story will not be out until later in the summer, either June or July to be exact. Until then, I'll be working on chapters or what ever, lol. I'm posting this so that people know it's out there, though I don't know when the acual prologue will be up, but I have already started on it, so it shouldn't be too long. I hope you guys like this one because I'm super excited for it! Gah. Okay. 'M done.
